Paid For Faster/trackable Postal Service, But Did Not Get It

I was only suggesting you ask for the £1 back if the item turns up. If he refunds that, then you will have to decide if the hassle he put you through still warrants a neg or not.MEMBER02 wrote:Do you mean that if item turns up ask for a full refund ,or the extra i paid for better service, and if he refunds in full forget his neg feedback?
Personally, I would probably leave a neutral if I got the extra £1 back, but whatever I left I would explain what had happened - Future buyers should be aware that they may not get a service they pay for.0 -
my complaint was that he should have sent the method i paid for,he left me feedback on tuesday 11th saying he had posted, that was a lie as he now says he posted yesterday by 2nd class.
i have just had email from him about my complaint,it says "forgot sorry"0 -

You still can't claim anything back though apart from the £1 extra you paid.
BTW Was the £1 an addition he had on his auction page? If so you could try reporting him to ebay as a non performing seller on the basis that he offered a service which he has not supplied.

Just to clarify things a bit for you:
- if you don't receive the item then it is NOT YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to chase the mail service about it.
- the seller says he has got a 'proof of posting' from the Post Office and it is UP TO HIM TO CLAIM from them if the item goes 'missing in the post', the item remains his property until it is actually delivered to you.
You should lodge your NPB claim with Paypal to get your full payment back. Only if you actually receive the item and it is exactly what you have paid for should you cancel the Paypal claim. (If you are not happy with the item then I have heard it is better not to admit that you have received it if possible and to put it back in the post marked 'return to sender' ... however I couldn't possibly suggest that you do that...)
I wouldn't hold your breath about getting your extra £1 back, (I'm a bit doubtful that the item will arrive at all and if it does I doubt it will be what you are expecting - there are a lot of scammers doing 'voucher' auctions...)
Good Luck!0 -
just received this email from seller,as item has not arrived today -
"Hi,I have spoken too the post office and got a claims form for you to fill in. For legal reasons this has to be completed by the buyer. So can you remind me of your address and once this royal mail claims form has been completed they will refund you."
i filed with paypal yesterday and he as responded, obviousely he cannot provide paypal tracking number, what advise would you give me now.thanks0 -
Just received this from seller- "I have filled in the form and made the claim but I need your signature aswell.
p.s If the item arrives I will refund if it is returned to 44 ~ Rd, Selly Oak, Birmingham"
could someone advise me what i can mail him so he stops thinking part of responsibility lies with me. thanks0 -
I suspect that he doesn't have any form and is saying this as a delaying tactic.
However I don't really understand why he is doing it...
1. You must continue with your Paypal claim, Paypal will refund you hopefully.
2. The Post Office will refund him (not you)
3. Your buyer does not need your signature.
4. If the Post Office really did want any input from you they would contact you directly.0 -

I wouldn't reply to his email at all. He already knows that your signature is not needed. Be very careful about giving this person any further personal information, certainly don't let him have a copy of your signature!0 -
This person is crazy. I would tell him that you cannot sign the claim form as you do not know whether he sent the item or not.MEMBER02 wrote:Just received this from seller- "I have filled in the form and made the claim but I need your signature aswell.
