  • maybe because I deal with people like him day in day out day in day out, my tolerence of people such as him are at an all time low.........I have heard every excuse for people trying to get out of such things with all such excuses, but really find it hard to believe that people do not know that no frills airlines are not changable, refundable etc....blimey you only have to have watched one episode of airline in vague passing to know this, and any glimpse of this board would have backed that up....let alone doing a search.

Maybe it doesnt sum up all of his personality, but you do have to question, someone who books something and doesnt read the terms and conditions, someone who then comes to a board such as this and doesnt read the board, or search the board first to see if his question may well be answered etc etc etc

all I am saying is, sometimes some people need to sit back, take a breather and see what else could be changed, he is the one quoting his relationship breakdown as a perfectly fine reason for wanting to get his own way but maybe just maybe this little lesson in life should maybe underline the way he goes about things in the future.

as an afterthought, insurance companies cover death in their policies........he doesnt say he either has travel insurance or if this would cover the cost, or do you think even they would not think that a valid enough reason to pay up? and anyways if the girl dumped him, why doesnt he ask her for the money for the ticket he paid for eh? surely after 8 years and breaking his heart it is the least she can do?

didnt read, didnt care, complacent, didnt understand, whingey, moany...this is what has showed itself in one post....8 years.....hmmmm

sorry if that is harsh....but rules are rules for a reason :)

Dear god. This has to be the cruellest, most brutal post i have seen yet on this site. And uncalled for too. It says far more about the writer than the OP.....

Why do all forums have smarmy geeky outright insulting people on there who simply can't resist taking time out of there little lives to make fun of people. If the thread is so stupid then what made you feel the need to post on it.

Thank you to all the other posters I realise after reading other companys t&c's that easy jet are by no means alone and at the end of the day I guess I've just got to deal with it.

Still think its wrong profiting from peoples losses. If you need to change a name on a booking it's always going to be for a negative reason (either a bereavement or a seperation etc). The point is even if you did spend an hour plus reading the many pages of t&c's you wouldnt not book it on the grounds that somebody might die or become sick etc.

ps I had trouble downloading martins spellchecker so I used the google one instead. For some reason it left my post in greens and reds. Sure is pretty tho aint it;)

i'm sorry but your misleading title to the thread attracted my attention.
it's been explained to you why they don't do name changes gratis....it's a really simple concept to understand.....unfortunately with travel some people can't get their heads round it.
if you'd bought a tandem would you expect the bike shop to take it back because you've been jibbed ?
would you expect a mortgage company to replace your girlfriends name with your sisters for no charge?
no you can't prepare for all eventualities but to compare being dumped with a bereavement is crass in the extreme....when a loved one dies the last thing on your mind is changing the name of the deceased on the booking

as was his title of the thread

and yes it says more about me... I snapped hey ho....I apologise to the OP, I have to deal with people like him every single day..patience is on an all time go slow...when you work with people throwing their toys out of their cot every day sometimes you just want to join in.

  • ooo just noticed he posted the day before saying the same thing

why does it need two posts when he got lots of answers and has already paid up? *confused*
  • donny osmonds mad fan,

"people like him", how can you claim to know anything about the OP? That is just so judgemental, let it go, he was upset and he asked for advice, chill out, think of your blood pressure.
If anything I say starts to make sense, PANIC!
