Hello Rubi, thank you..........
I have just received my wage slip in the post today for my wages for my new job. However, it doesnt have the CSA horrendous deduction of £600 that Ihave had for the last couple of months. Also, last month I didnt make any payments to my old creditors because I didnt have the money.
I have just done my expenditure for the month and wondered should I just send the CSA a cheque for my normal payment which is £280. This would help me as it means I can catch up with my creditors. Also, I currently have an application in with the CSA as it shouldnt have been this amount in the first place as I had to travel to see my children.
I have already paid some backlogs, so they cant say I'm not willing, but also and I hate to tell you guys this, but I had to take one of those payday loans this month too - I'm sorry! and that is due tomorrow.
I am due a cheque from HMRC and my old employer about £3k in total and they should be here this month, when they come in, I can start breathing again!
I do value everyones opinion on here and Rubi you're one of the main people who helped get me started so I would appreciate your honest advice!
Thank you!!!!

Hello Tony, comeback Ruby ... what is the csa ?? is it child support agency, i would pay them the 280 get up to date with the creditors and id then ringthem explain the situation and say you intend to get them paid but of course you have to pay the credit companys first hopefully they will understand after all things are tough of late for some people im sure they will help ... Tony chin up :d xThe loans will pay themselves the credit cards need a kicking :money: DFW Long haulers supporter 132!!:T0

thanks amy, yes it is child support agency! its a long process but they didnt look at my case for nearly 2 years and then want all the backlog back within a year! like i said tho, i also have an application in with them to vary that amount.
if i just pay the normal amount, then i can catch up with my other bits too!
thanks amy xxx0 -
Hi Tony (and Amy)
Sorry wasn't around we had our supper really late this evening and DD has only just gone to bed.
Anyway....
I think the first thing you need to establish is 'why' your new employer hasn't made the deduction from your wages, because the last thing you need is for them to play catch up next month and deduct £1200!! Also the fact that you are disputing the £600 per month might go in your favour if you send the £280 with a letter to CSA explaining the situation and asking for the £280 or whatever you can afford between the £280 and £600 to be set up monthly until your dispute is settled. Either way it is important that you establish your new employers and the CSA's situation because I would assume next month the £600 deduction will come out and it sounds as if you just cannot afford this.
Tony, have you considered a DMP? Sorry I can't remember your overall situation.
As for your other creditors, have you received default letters now because of missing payments, or have you spoken to them all and agreed?
Also have you thought about asking the whole board for advise on this? I haven't any experience of CSA so don't feel very well equipped to advise.
As a friend though if you are needing a payday loan, it sounds like you are really stuggling (and who wouldn't with a CSA £600 per month deduction!!!) you might benefit from putting your SOA up (or again) if you did it in July for others to offer advice on.
Sorry... I can't help further. Other than to say I am here no matter what you decide and keep smiling and although it is hard try not to worry. The good you do comes back to you.DFW Long haul supporters No: 1340 -
Hey ruby ... very good advice, my bro pays csa for twin girls only babies i think he only pays 100 quid a week or less not extravagent...... its alot to pay out a week in its self ...... tony its ok sometimes people just have a bad month deffo do what ruby said send a letter with the payment maybe they can be helpful for a while... also when my bro set up csa they said they cant make you pay the backlog to application set up in full because its not fair so he just pays weekly and theres not been a problem, he pays fromhis bank not from his wages its something you should chase up you dont want any unexpected wage steals do you ! ....right girls and guys im off on my holiday to france tmz so im happy happy see you next tuesday :P xxThe loans will pay themselves the credit cards need a kicking :money: DFW Long haulers supporter 132!!:T0

hello all, (probably only you and I tonight Ruby!)
Well, today I had a surprise! I logged on to my internet banking when I got up this morning knowing that today is payday and when the balance first came up, it seemed rather low! When I checked, I had not been paid by my new employer - that went in later - but I had £1500 from my old employer! I am discusiing my unpaid car allowance with them, but they said that they were only looking at it this week, and with them being a plc their payroll cut off date is about 19th of each month! I have transferred that amount to my savings and will sit and wait and see!
Just got back from seeing my gorgeous daughter for the 2nd time! She is cool! How's everyones day been??
