  • Collect a series of classic Hitchcock DVDs

Build a collection of classic movies from the master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock, starting with a free DVD – The 39 Steps – inside The Sunday Times on September 7, 2008.
You can add another title to your collection each day by picking up a free DVD from Monday to Friday at WHSmith, then complete the set with The Lady Vanishes, free insideThe Times on Saturday, September 13.

    Sunday -The 39 Steps [1935]
    http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt0026029/
An innocent man on the run. A beautiful, icy blonde. A chaotic world in which no one is what they seem. Deservedly one of the BFI’s Top Five Favourite British Films.

Monday -The Man Who Knew Too Much [1934]
    http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt0025452/
A dying man reveals an assassination plot, a child is abducted, and a man must choose between his family and his country. The Albert Hall provides a fitting setting for a thrilling climax.

    Tuesday -Sabotage [1936]
    http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt0028212/
One of cinema's most famous and brilliantly executed sequences sees an innocent boy unwittingly delivering a timed bomb on a bus that is stuck in traffic. Hitchcock at his very best.

    Wednesday -Secret Agent [1936]
    http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt0028231/
Somerset Maugham’s spy story receives the Hitchcock treatment with a mix of ironic humour and suspenseful set pieces. A novelist has his death faked by British Intelligence, before embarking on a perilous and eccentric mission.

    Thursday -Young and Innocent [1937]
    http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt0029811/
A stylish thriller with a simple premise: a man finds the body of a young girl and runs to get help. Two young witnesses take him for the killer, and he faces a fight to prove his innocence.

    Friday -Jamaica Inn [1939]
    http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt0031505/
A superbly atmospheric tale of thieves and cutthroats set on the rugged Cornish coast. An orphan girl goes to live with her uncle, but discovers that he is the head of a gang of bloodthirsty wreckers.

    Saturday -The Lady Vanishes [1938]
    http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt0030341/
Aboard a trans-continental express, a young woman befriends an English governess who promptly disappears. Seeking an explanation, she is accused of hallucinating, but the more questions she asks, the deeper the mystery becomes

  • Thanks guys. Some great deals there!!!

I'm especially looking forward to the Hitchcock movies.

A little bird has told me that the Mail on Sunday are preparing for their best DVD giveaway yet later this year - the 2006 Oscar winning movie "Brokeback Mountain" starring Jake Gyllenhaal and the recently deceased Heath Ledger.
