Although the Daily Mail says "redemption not at petrol forecourts" these are available to pick-up at Petrol Stations with Tesco Express stores.

I've been missing out all week because my main Tesco on the way home have always run out of the CDs, but I tried the Tesco Express petrol station on the way in today and they have stock of them.

Even better they had surplus of all Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday so the nice lady gave me one of each of them. Just missing the Spandau one.

Anyway, just a heads-up for folk who didn't realise redemption is also at the Express stores.

you are right - an absolute classic - still sounding fantastic today (on CD)

Reckon there could be a second run of these 80's CD's at some point - some classics missed (but perhaps not allowed??)

Duran Duran (take you pick Planet Earth (?), Rio, Arena, Seven and the ragged tiger etc.)
    Wham!
    Echo & the Bunnymen
    Def Leppard
    Bon Jovi
    ABC - lexicon of Love

    etc etc.

    Here's hoping

If only! - this is run by audible.co.uk which only issues files that can be run via their own software.

"Audible uses security technologies, including encryption, to protect purchased programmes. Typical MP3 files contain the same kind of audio data but are not protected in this way. This encryption means you will not be able to convert the Audible format to MP3. These measures are required to protect the intellectual property rights of our Content Providers and Authors."

Unless you have one of the few mp3 players that will run audible's software forget it. The only other option is to listen to it on your pc - not exactly user friendly,

Well it's not that bad. Works with iPods for a start.

As for other options - you can burn it to CDs that will work on any CD player.

Ok it is in .CDA format which means 74mins or 80mins per CD-R and for this WHOPPER you would need 14 or 15 Cds.

HOWEVER, having said that, if I download this to my PC, I can then play it with my Philips MP3 unit connected to my sound card via Optical SPDIF and set it to Record.
It will record it as a standard normal MP3 that I can do with as I wish.
Even set the recording bit rate and select Monaural if I please.

I'm sure you've converted an old CD into an MP3 to listen to whilst on the move ......

    ... haven't you ?
