periods on holiday

please can you help me..my 10 year old daughter is due her period while we are in turkey.is there anything she can take to stop this as it will completly ruin her holiday.she is on for about 5 days and can be quite heavy sometimes.she spends most of her time in the pool but wont be able to if she is on her period.
