The quickest way is to go to the I Won I WON I WON board and congratulate a few people, Do read their posts first though. If you've just written about how your prize has arrived totally smashed or it turned out to be timeshare and not a real prize at all, it must be annoying to have someone reply to you with a cheery "Enjoy your prize :beer:"

or you could join in at 'Compers Inn' & have chats with lots of members, they're all very friendly & nice

brilliant in there, only one snag, you have to keep coming out to enter comps or post them as it's very addictive in there

ooh & there's site feedback to comment in, lots of other threads to join in as well

As lilias mentioned, the stars are to do with the numbers of posts you have made. I'm sure your stars will soon increase

No!!! Sometimes I do take a peek out from the safety of our little corner & I scurry back so quickly as those other forums can be scary! :eek:

Hi Leah, sorry I didn't get to this yesterday when you posted

Are you talking about how to enter the Puzzler magazine/website competitions? (I think that's the only place I mention magazines on the left) If so, take a look at post 8 More Advanced section & scroll down to number 8 I don’t understand the Puzzler thread, there are lots of comps in there but how I do enter them? Then there are screen shots that I took of the Puzzler website which shows you were to click on the word Magazines in the left menu list actually on the Puzzler website. I've just nipped to the Puzzler site to double check they haven't sneakily changed it.... still the same place, although the image of the ties on the right of that screenshot in the Guide have now been replaced by the image of a coffeecup inside a 'clockface' made of coffee beans - the 'Magazines' menu item is still in the same place though.

I'm hoping this answers your question, but if it doesn't then please reply back with a little more detail. If your comment is in respect of something else entirely then please forgive me & again, give me a little more to go on so I can help you better

Morning all

Just updated the Guide a little: inserted a new question (& answer) in the Posting Comps section of the Guide.

5 Why am I unable to post a link/URL for a comp?
If you have only recently joined MSE or haven't yet made very many posts on the site then you may find there is a restriction in place that means you cannot post links to other websites (URLs). This was brought in by MSE Towers to try to stem the flow of links which were being splattered all over the different MSE forums by spammers. The number of posts you need to make before you can start to post links has not been made public by MSE, however, the experience of other compers has shown that it is around 10 - 15 posts before you can post a link to another website.

A couple of quick updates to the Guide.

Firstly, a sad update...

Comps.PickMeUpMagazine.co.uk (Care: the magazine comps seem to be unaffected, but any comps which direct to this site are now run by a data collecting company Data Media & Research Ltd)

The above has been added to the list of spam websites to be aware of.

Secondly, I've updated the Getting Started II section for the:

9 Can I enter the radio station / newspaper comps on more than one of the radio station / newspaper websites?
The radio stations have had a major change in their Terms & Conditions. There now appears to be restrictions in place about entering comps on one site only & also a clause to stop you winning again within a certain timescale if you had a win over a specific value. Compers report though, that these rules seem to be in flux & changing every few weeks. Please check the T & C before you enter to clarify exactly what the current rules are before you at that time!

CARE: some newspaper comps can only entered once across the whole group, the OP will give mention this if they know this to be the case.
PLEASE NOTE: Sport Magazine / My Freesport - you cannot enter from both websites as they are one magazine (Another Comper emailed to check this one out).

I found this forum some time ago while searching for deals with netbooks (in google) and already joined the competitions here but i found one i don't see in the Search results, and can't post it.
