Ahhhh, never heard of it :)

Well this is it, i'd love to meet a young lady who was nice, kind, caring and just wanted honesty, respect and love.

These people do exist, you just gotta wade through the amazing amount of excrement to find them :o and when you do, they are usually attached to a piece of excrement who doesn't treat them right anyway :o

    Miroslav,

I think you need to be more concrete in what your saying... especially if you want to get what you want.

Was the panic attack related to work at all? If so then you need to say what exactly affected it (ie stress of doing tasks you felt unqualified to do, working with antisocial/rude people/not feeling pat of the dept etc) Employers are not interested in gut feelings and they LOVE it when you talk about what you can do is BENEFICIAL to them. The fact that its influencing your health could go in your favour to get you moved ...

Again, unfortunately, employers arent interested in what you enjoy ... they want to know how You were beneficial to Them ... ie your skills are put particularly to good use in dept 2 in what way ... what are you getting out of it which just so happens to benefit them?? ie more confidence as you learnt new skills = more efficient working and developing new ways (more efficient/customer focused, what ever their Aim is supposed to be) ways of operating.

More assertive re the counselling would be excellent too ... state that as pre-arranged you go to these sessions and you are not willing to miss them, and possibly add these are beneficial to the org in what way.

I think I need to learn how to be assertive without being aggressive. I am a very quiet person, only changing when somebody needs to be told something and I can't get the balance right.

The panic attack was the worry about going back to the department that I feel I am under used and not part of the team. I was told many times before I started that this placement is to benefit me, so if I am unhappy with anything, to raise it. This department don't want me there, plain and simple. The placement is because I have been out of work for 3 years. The reply I got after I started, was 'This is not about the kind of work you are doing, but to get you back into a routine' whereas before I was told if I was unhappy anywhere, I could be moved as the placement is very flexible.

I was told that in department 1, if I ever wanted to be employed, i'd need to this, that and the other, of which I couldn't do some of it (as it involves something I could not face) so I thought there was little point in continuing anyway, as department 2 requires skills I already have.

I shall try and be more assertive, but everytime I try, I get accused of being difficult and changing my mind of what I had already agreed to do, although I was meant to have that option.

I felt miserable today (I made it into the placement) and binged when I got home - the first time I had in 4 months, and now I feel hopeless. What kind of person would ever want a loser like me that can't handle life

They've lied to me, refused to listen and want me to continue doing things I don't want too.

I can walk out and leave anytime I like, I just don't want too give in and walk.

  • Hey all,

It's me under my new name ... fancied a change ... won't be posting a lot as I don't feel comfortable here anymore, but just wanted to call in ... good things are I have a constant supply of foster moggies coming through my door and ... well, it's not that good really. I thought I'd found that special someone, but it seems not, and I'm so disillusioned and sad

Still no job and little money, and now I'm going to be on my own as well.

Big hugs to those who need it :grouphug:

I am indeed a cat man. Even that can't get me a woman :o

Current flatmate is crazed, so I could handle that....older....than my mere 32? :o Cat mad is good. Lifelong companion..........slow down a bit, we've just met :rotfl: Unique? Mental, physical or both?:rotfl:

I'm open to all offers right now. I met this lady the other day on my work placement. She was absolutely gorgeous, single and erm......classy. She was very pleasant, but would never be able to pluck up the courage to ask her out, not that i'll ever see her again. Well out of my league :o

But anyway, I already know some Spanish.....Fernando Torres, Fernando Alonso, Can you hear the drums Fernando and remarkably, El Carpo  I remember this from school. I arrive in England and within 3 months, not only am I learning to speak English, but I am told to have French, German and Spanish lessons too

No wonder when someone told me they were going Cold Turkey on this thread many months back, I thought they were having a plate of poultry left over from the previous days roast dinner
