I'm hanging my head in shame again. Yesterday was a baaaad day. Tbh I've struggled since Monday after my mega-blowout at the weekend but yesterday I just gave up. I haven't got my head in the right place, I need to be in a certain mind-set to 'be good' & it's just not there at the moment
. I'm also an emotional eater so a bit of stress & I go off the rails (I know, excuses, excuses...).
So, I've decided to forget about low-carbing for the time being. I'm still going to lurk on this thread as I've had such a laugh at times as well as all the support, recipes etc. Hopefully I'll be back soon but I think I need to be more prepared next time. May even do 'official' Atkins in which case I need to buy/borrow the book?? Anyway, need to think things through.
PS. I'm not going to be pigathon naughty, just not doing low-carb & I'll still be weighing myself & posting any weight gains in my sig!! _pale_
I'll miss the cheesy leeks & cherry toms (I had them in my salads but never actually confessed to them!! :rotfl: ).
Hi, like you my head has to be in the right place and i can be really good but i cant just decide to diet or it'll only last til teatime :rotfl:
LC seems to be the only way i can lose now that i am insulin resistant. I do have some success with SWorld but only on red days and i get really hungry and lose slowly but Atkins allows me to shift it fast.
I dont think you really need the book am sure you can get the basic principles online and also lists of low carb fruit and veg plus of course this thread is brill.
Anyway, good luck:beer:0 -

Awww sweet, I know exactly how you feel ((hugs)) I am an emotional eater too. When you associate food with comfort, it's a difficult link to break. Like a love-hate relationship. I know it is for me anyway:o
We'll miss you hun so come back soon!
Much love,

Been away for a few days, and pages and pages to read through!
Been reasonably on the straight and narrow, but....
Welcome, all newbies
Yay! :j
And it's friday - so double yay!! :j:j:D
Hello lovelies :hello:
It was slightly less than the usual pitch dark this morning when we left the house and now the sun is shining - dare I believe spring is on its way?
Well that one and a half pounds still stubbornly refusing to shift lol I give up! :rotfl:But I am 'feeling' more Atkinsy IYKWIM? So maybe... but we'll see:rolleyes:
B&L - usual
D - not sure yet. Forgot to take anything out of the freezer this morning on account of still being half asleep lol so maybe burgers and/or bacon and sommat for quickness when we get in.
Have a good day everyone
Much love,

I did a nice dish with chicken last night - be just as good with turkey.
I fried leek, mushrooms, red pepper and bacon, added chicken, cooked till done, added tarragon and cream. Served it with cabbage and it was fab. Could add a drop of white wine too - I forgot to do that, which is unlike me.0 -

Hi honey
I know what it's like. I've had to stop posting my food else I sabotage myself:eek: Will always be basically low carb but concentratin on food makes it too important so I rebel. Kinda resorting to sneaking lowcarb past my censors and keeping busy so food takes a back seat in my mind. Each to their own, I sposeWe've been around long enough to know ourselves, it's just outwitting the demon that's difficult
but doable.
No need to forgo the leeks though or the toms! If you like em, eat em!
Luck and love

Day 11 of the Rose Elliot Induction and we've fallen out. So I won't be eating what she tells me; I'm instead having:
Greek yoghurt
Salad with radishes, halloumi, brazil nuts and boiled egg
Tofu stir-fry
If anything, since Day 1 I've put on a couple of pounds. Nice.
Well I've ordered the pole and am going to concentrate on that from now on - all my spare time will be spent on the pole, studying moves, holding poses - that'll make me skinnyMortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -

Ah, so you're a rebel too!
If you are listening to your body you're probably doin right. Your meals there sound very healthy and sensible. Can't see why they'd be ruled out but I don't know the diet.
Concentratin on bein a sexy mover should take your mind off food rules! And you get a toned and beautiful figure! Sounds good to me
Go girl!:j
