I've been drinking 7-8 glasses of water a day. I alternate one night of salad with one night of vegetables. I'm a district nurse and I find that if I take a salad with me for lunch it doesn't cope very well with the heat in the car (it looks quite wilted by lunchtime, lol). I find the flaxbread sandwich easier for lunch. It may be that the flaxbread has caused the weight gain. I've felt so fed up today I gave in to my carb cravings and have had a very bad day.

When i take my salad to work i put it in one of those small padded lunchboxes with a freezer block in it and it stays really crispy. :T just gotta remember to refreeze the block every night:rolleyes:

My fridge and freezer is now full of Atkinsabilia so i have no excuse:D

Have been a little :A again today, not fancied anything naughty, dont really get particularly hungry.
I will probably be missing some nice fresh fruit soon tho as i eat quite a bit usually, got some berries at the ready, be glad when summers here and the prices go down.
One of my fave crispy snacks is celery with cream cheese in the groove, lush!

Thanks for the ideas for tonights turkey! Ive just panfried it with mushrooms and onions plusa couple of spoons of hot chilli powder. Near the end I added approx 15g tom puree(1.5g carbs)and 2 100ml packs of LLoyd Grossman tomato and chilli(14.6g carbs) so approx 16 g carbs total-serves 4.
Kids will have theirs with spaghetti-mine will be eaten either on its own or with green beans tomorrow. Tonight I bought a lot of Atkins style bargains and ended up with 2 pure beefburgers with chilli butter and leeks for tea.
280ml pots of cream were for sale at 20p each-after Id bought a fullprice one elsewhere. However-I bought 2 as they last way past their sellby date.
I went to the market today where I bought leeks cauli and brocolli. Wheres my medal?:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I also parked as far away from my car as possible when I parked-no bad weather as an excuse after all.
Im going to buy myself a reward for each half stone I lose! Nothing edible-I think-a cheapish pair of earrings from Argos will fit the bill!
"Because Im worth it". Hope everyone else is behaving???;)

You can have a medal for parking! :rotfl:

Your tea sounds good, and what you did with the turkey. I like the idea of treating yourself to a prize when you reach a milestone

I used to date an alcoholic and when we split up went on the wagon myself. Added up what I'd saved on cider in a week and got some lush earrings :) Then I saw David Beckham wearing them the week afta  At least mine were fake diamonds!

If you're doing atkins you should be having 2 cups of salad and 1 of veg every day. Veg is higher in carbs than salad and may well not be helping.

could you try alternating flaxbread and oopsies?

*Oopsies*! Yum! the low carbers friend! It's easy to eat them all, mind! best left to soften up for a bit then they're as versatile as sliced white :)

    Tasty :)

Will be back with the link in a bit.

I made Rose E's low-carb pizza this evening. Strange-sounding base - eggs and cream cheese on grated Cheddar. Nicer than it sounds, though. Of course, if you put enough pepperoni and mozzarella on anything, it'll taste OK.

Day 12 and I'm making it up now.

Breakfast - 3 scrambled eggs, wheatbran/flax porrige and decaf coffee
(eyelash tint to go with my new eyebrows)
Lunch - 2 old friends are coming up and I'm taking them out to a country pub, so dunno yet!
Dinner - Spinach and cheese gratin

I'm also going to make another batch of jelly - trying some different flavours now, maybe cherry and cinnamon??
