  • Had a great week last week and lost 3 pounds in weight. I have loads and loads still to lose lol But its coming off slowly.

My DD 15 just got an offer to the college of her first choice to do Veterinary nursing as long as she gets her 4 a to c in GCSE's

I am full of cold the last few day and still being really good with my foods.
sw start date 23/09/2013 4 st 8 pounds to go....as of 21/10/13 not 3 stone 7 to go for first target. updated 18/11/13 now 2 stone 10lbs to go to first target.
  • Hi folks... haven't been able to pop in for a little while so be warned it's gonna be a long one!

Had a read through what I have been missing and Shykins... congrats! It's nice to know someone actually DOES win those prizes on the tellybox! :T

There seems to be a lot of despair with the lack of results in here... I realise many of you are on various plans but a kick start of atkins' "fat fast" macadamias, and eggs if memory serves me correctly, is just the ticket! I have also managed to secure some scrummy coconut oil and that is really working wonders.

I promise if you are not losing you are sabotaging yourself without even realising. I treat carbs like an allergy... if I eat too much it "poisons" me. I would exclude and reintroduce. Many of you are mentioning yoghurt/tomatoes??? I realise we are on different plans but I steer away from them... as per Atkins. I don't love eating them more than being slim feels!

I am eating more bread now than before, albeit the flax bread and it is really working. My weightloss is not as speedy as it was the last time I did Atkins but I am in it for the long run and the almond pancakes for pancake day and flax is making it a scoosh! It is also keeping me regular like

I'm sorry I'm a bit pants at keeping up with names so to the lady with the limp lettuce ;) I have a little screwtop pot like a thermos I put in the freezer overnight and I put my salad in it in the morning. It keeps it crisp and gorgeous. It also works to keep food warm if you microwave it. I got it at Dunelm... don't know if you have one near you but it really is fab!

I am on a bit of a high now... I broke the 10 stone barrier this week! I am no longer 10 st blah de blah I am now 9 st 12!!! I realise to many of you you may think yada yada to be that weight but I am 5 foot 1 and a fart so the stone I have now almost lost was VERY necessary... so please be kind :o

Lets keep at it! Hugs to you all!

Congrats on breaking that barrier, kissitbetta! I know how that feels as it's not long since I did it.

Seems as though there are a few of us little 'uns on here: I'm roughly the same height as you, and so is Saz. And I think we're all about the same weight at the moment (the high 9's). What are you aiming to get down to? I'm hoping for about 9 st by the end of April, and maybe 8 and a half by end of June. But we'll see.

Glad you enjoyed your night out, Shykins. How lovely to have something to celebrate!

Yep, another shortie here:D lol. Would LOVE to be 9 stone by May:rolleyes: May 2010! :rotfl: Well done tho kissitb - being a similar height I know what an achievement that is - and you inspire me to keep going. But I have been 'feeling' more 'Atkinsy' the past few days, so maybe radically cutting down on veg was the answer for me? Time will tell I guess.

Glad you enjoyed your evening out shykins hun... and yes, I'm deffo feeling a bit fuzzy-headed this morning on account of all those voddys you forced me to drink last night!:D

Just a quicky sazzy coz we gotta get ready to go out. Going over to my folks this afternoon to drop off some birthday prezzies for me dear old dad and generally make a fuss of him!

    Right better get on.

Have a fab Saturday everyone!

    Much love to all,

    Hi peeps!

Have just had the tastiest lunch, had to share (the recipe, not my food!)

Chopped boiled egg, cream cheese, mayo and smoked salmon trimmings! Mixed up and eaten on cos lettuce leaves. Yum!

Being very good :A and enjoying it :D

Off to make a bacon and veg broth for lunches next week. Gone off curry, I think the smell of the burnt one got to me :rotfl:

I too was a little woozy from the enforced drinkies (ta shykins) so am knocking it on the head for the forseeable.

    Have a lovely weekend!

You DO have control over how you react :)

Hi all, not been a week til monday morning but decided to weigh as i felt 'thin' this morning as once my bloated stomach goes down this is how i feel, have lost 3.2 lbs (cant forget the .2) so really happy.:j

Badger lady, how do you make your jelly as i'm enjoying mine but flavours are limited in shop bought.

Kissitbetta wot a good philosophy, the feeling of being slim beats the feeling of eating the item:T Oh to be in the 9 stones again, I am 5'6" and was always 9st 2 but will never reach that again as i think it would be too low but 11st seems far far away:rotfl:

Well done jpretty, I have loads and loads to lose too but as you said its coming off slowly.:T

Does anyone have any ideas for a gravy substitute or I fear for Sunday lunch, or is that pushing low carb too far:confused:

Thanks for the tip Tinkerbell. I'll try the oopsies instead of the flaxbread. Are the oopsies Induction friendly and which recipe do you use? I've got a posh do on Friday night and my dress is slightly a tight fit at the moment. I hope I don't put on another 2lbs this week or I'll never get in the dress. Is there anything else I can do this week (apart from the obvious exercise) that will turn the pin on the scales in the right direction? I've got an 80 hour week ahead of me this week so struggling to find time to exercise. Any tips are greatly appreciated.
  • Well Im 5 ft 4 and I know I kooked my best at 9 st 10 rather than any lower so thats what Im aiming for. I think I have 34 lbs to go! Crikes-slooow but sure! I was 7 st 3 at age 23-way way too thin and couldnt keep any weight on! I know this is going to be a heck of a task but when I see what others have don mine isnt too bad!
I had my turkey in tomato and chilli sauce with leeks for dinner and a sugarfee jelly. How do you make low carb jellies-are they as low as Hartleys?
Debating on a swim later-as long as the pool isnt full of kids-I need to check the times/sessions. I do have to "make" myself go there-its boring-but pays off.
The Atkins book does indeed say that excercise is non-negotiable! You have to do it. Slight improvement in shape already-not massive-but I can see the parts which are getting better. Im lucky-I have small arms for my weight-others a stone lighter have much bigger arms. Just fed up with a belly sticking out as far as my 38cs!

  • I bought a pack of liver yesterday-something a bit cheaper than steak!. Now apart from the lovely liver and onions is there anything that goes well with it? Ive got brocolli and I dont want to overdo the cheese or I will get fed up with it. Eggs get boring too if I overdo them which is why I dont eat them every day.
