Ah well i'd better say g'night as my son wants a lift to work at 6.30 tomorrow the git. :D

Cant believe how good ive been today.

Was never hungry on it last time tho, the only diet ever where i'm not constantly starving. Its just the craving for things that kicks in with me.

OK well I'm now getting desperate urges to practice pole dancing at home, especially seeing how much stronger I've got the more I've been lifting and stretching in classes. Just look up some of the performances on YouTube to see where I could end up with enough practice.

So I can either buy one that fixes to the floor and ceiling (but has to me installed by me - ooer) for £100, or I can buy an all-singing, all-dancing pole that comes with its own little stage and doesn't have to be fixed to anything but can be packed into a case and put up literally anywhere for £500  Cheaper than lipo I guess!

Well, it was weigh day for me today. I've been on Atkins for 2 weeks now and have managed to put on 2lbs  . I've stuck to the rules religiously. I don't think this diet suits me as I only have 5lbs to lose (7lbs now). I think I'll call it a day and try another diet. Don't want to jump on the scales in two weeks time and find that I'm another 2lbs heavier! Thanks for all your help over the last two weeks. This site has been very informative and so friendly.

this is another matter and it depends on your soil and how frosty your garden gets.Asparagus growing We have tried twice to establish an Asparagus bed and failed dismally both times. I'm not sure if it's the frost or the soil but I can't get it to thrive.

I didn't have much luck with Asparagus crowns but bought seeds from Chiltern who recommend planting new ones each year and picking after a few years in a rotating fashion. This was very successful in terms of getting plants established, in fact they were quite hard to kill off when I finally gave in to the scourge of asparagus beetle which is DISGUSTING! I may try again but cover with mesh to prevent the little sods taking over.

May be worth trying with seed if you've not done that before, I somehow suspect plants raised from seed in your own soil/climate do better than those transported in from somewhere different.

Dark chocolate. Many makes, just make sure it is 85% chocolate or above. Supermarkets stock it - corner shops might.

    Carbs depend on brand.

Or go to the Chocolate Trading Co and buy some 100% Pralus.

Doesn't list the carbs but it has to be low! and its yum.

Shykins thanks for the tip for cutting ketostix in half, blinking brilliant that. Have ordered some from avidlite as they were cheaper than ebay (plus i wanted an excuse for ordering some of their old fashioned sweets) which are great as a treat when you've just gotta have a sweetie or two.
  • Good morning everyone :hello:
I'm hanging my head in shame again :o . Yesterday was a baaaad day. Tbh I've struggled since Monday after my mega-blowout at the weekend but yesterday I just gave up. I haven't got my head in the right place, I need to be in a certain mind-set to 'be good' & it's just not there at the moment :( . I'm also an emotional eater so a bit of stress & I go off the rails (I know, excuses, excuses...).
So, I've decided to forget about low-carbing for the time being. I'm still going to lurk on this thread as I've had such a laugh at times as well as all the support, recipes etc. Hopefully I'll be back soon but I think I need to be more prepared next time. May even do 'official' Atkins in which case I need to buy/borrow the book?? Anyway, need to think things through.
PS. I'm not going to be pigathon naughty, just not doing low-carb & I'll still be weighing myself & posting any weight gains in my sig!! _pale_
I'll miss the cheesy leeks & cherry toms (I had them in my salads but never actually confessed to them!! :rotfl: ).
