iwish, you were asking the same sort of advice back in January, when you mention 'your husband'. It looks as though you were given the same advice re working and claiming WTC back then. I am in the same position as you-lone parent,on benefit, youngest is Special needs-I can't wait to get back to work, believe me you will be better off-and you may even enjoy the work too. Even if only on the same money or slightly better off-surely that would still be better?I had worked for almost 30 years prior to this year, and whilst I appreciate I have qualifications,I made the choice to delay motherhood whilst I did all of that. You can still do that if you want-it takes organisation but lots of people do it. I find it depressing on benefit-there really is nothing to look forward to,whereas if you have employment, there's the possibility of promotion, pay rises etc!
I am having to apply for jobs outside my normal career path as I am waiting to get a refresher course for my qualifications. It's frustrating as I ave been told I'm over qualified, but I wouldn't hesitate to take that sort of job if I get offered,as I have always found more oppurtunities pop up whilst you are employed. What have you worked at in the past?
Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!

Yes, I thought that too, or a librarian (lots of stereotyping going on here!)

I'd love to be a librarian. Organization, helping people and being surrounded by books. My idea of heaven. :rotfl:

I'm nice really....on my good days. :rotfl:

Don't you swear at me!!! :rotfl:

I hid some a while back and was munching on it while in the kitchen. DD, then 4, asked where the chocolate was and when I said I didn't have any, she replied, 'Yes you have, you fibber!! I can smell it on your breath!!' Oooops! :o
