They just called back, and I'm entirely happy with the situation.
What did they say? Are they sending you a charger without you having to send the whole thing back? All credit cards paid off.

They don't have any chargers in stock. They said that if I buy one in an O2 shop, they would refund the cost back on to the SIM. I should get the dealer to phone up, and the notes on my account will refer to it.
Call 01132722000 and ask for pay-as-you-go customer services. You'd probably need to chat them up first, rather than just turn up at the shop.
What if the shop doesn't have any? Errr, cross that bridge when I come to it ... I've still got the other one on order though, so I may end up with two if I go into town.0 -
Both mine have arrived - fantastic!
No charger but I paid £5 for the one on the earlier link.
They both look brand new.
Now, you have to be gentle with me now and explain in very basic terms what to do next regarding the sim cards.
The sim cards that I have been sent I take it I don't have to use them, I won't get charged £10 a month and I don't have to send the sim cards back?
Do I have to use an 02 sim card from somewhere else, are they free etc?All credit cards paid off.

Chances are its locked to 02, so either need to get unlocked OR
use an o2 sim
nothing to stoip you using the one they supplied ... credit it with £10 and you will get £10 plus the 30 days free minutes or texts as selected/detailed ( which I read is in addition to however you spend the £10)
No obligation to put on any more credit, but you don't get the free stuff again until you doAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
So payless, everytime I put £10 on I get the freebies or is it just a 1 off offer (hard to say with a mouthful of teeth) - if I pay £10 again within the 1 month the offer still continues - but as soon as I miss a month of paying £10 then the offer stops? All credit cards paid off.

You can use those SIM cards - you don't get charged £10 automatically, and you aren't obliged to top up.
In a month when you top-up by £10 , you get 300 free text messages or 100 free X-net minutes and texts. The £10 remains to be spent later.
If you top-up before the anniversary date in the month, you get another free package. If you don't top-up, then you just have the credit left.
So depending on your usage, you might top up every month, or only once in a while.
There are also some Joining Treats that were described on the Phones Board, which I'll come back and edit into this later, but one option is 50 free X-net minutes per month for 3 months (then remember to cancel it, before it becomes chargeable).
And the top-ups on the supplied SIM have 20% added back, so I'd use it. It seems possible to make 250 minutes of calls for £10 or £8.
edit - apologies, this was a bit cross-posted, but I'll leave itbut as soon as I miss a month of paying £10 then the offer stops?0 -
Right, I think I understand all that. I CAN miss a month and still go back and get the extras during the month I have paid again is that right?
Sorry, I can cook food for 12 people while answering questions about homework, where laundry is, etc etc - but sim cards and mobile phones are beyond me lolAll credit cards paid off.

I'm sitting here at work jealously reading about all those who have received their fones, no knowing if there is a small lonely package waiting at home for me. I am one of those who got the late at night email to say they were out of stock. Has anyone, who received that email, received a phone. Sorry i have lost track of all the posts there have been so many so far.0
