"Bless" wasn't what I was saying.
And I was aiming for [STRIKE]72[/STRIKE] 82 days, so I've failed
Except that I can add it to ChoreWars heehee0 -
Hi OO!
For some reason I've only just 'found' this thread, and have just spent a very pleasant half hour or so reading it all (thanks for the comment you made about Natasha waaaay back in July by the way).
I didn't realise Popeye was away for so long this time, it must be really difficult but I am amazed at how well you cope.
I am slightly envious of your writing, it's something I would like to do, and I have started various things, but somehow I never feel happy with them, and they end up unfinished.
Had a litle giggle at your cat, mainly because Natasha likes shredding tissues too, and I often pop to the kitchen to make her lunch, only to come back to a 2-ply snowstorm in the living room! :rotfl:"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Hi Snaggles,
It was Popeye who encouraged me to write, though I've written WhoDunnits for a ladies group in the church to perform, they always altered them hugely and were practically saying their own words  (it was because they weren't very good at learning their lines, not because they thought their words were better)
I've never felt my work was good enough, and wouldn't show anyone my bitsBut he nagged me to enter a competition last year and I came second, so I started to think I wasn't rubbish, and nor was my writing.
Thinking of the story to tell, the characters involved isn't the problem. It's actually writing it down that I just never get round to.....:rotfl: (hence the challenge)
But I ALWAYS enjoy your posts and your diary, so you've obviously got a gift with words. So perhaps you just need nagging too?
Take a notebook away with you when you go on holiday (you are going on one aren't you?) and do some writingthere you are, your first nag.

Holiday, me?
Yes, I might take a notebook with me, just in case inspiration strikes. I wanted to write a book with Ryan about 'Jungle Planet' (the place he was born (he says), and lived underwater as a swordfish, with a friend called Cheese, who was a shark apparently, before being brought to earth by the guardians when his planet was destroyed in the war:rotfl:), but he says he doesn't want me to.

Wow! great story Ryan :rotfl: :rotfl: (and always better to write about what you know)
He'll have to write and illustrate it, and you'll have to find your own story madam!0 -
Hahaha, yes I suppose I shouldn't pinch his ideas.
Well, in that case, I have a few chapters of a story about Mr Gurgles, the monster who lives in our central heating pipes (and his friend The Sock Monster, who lives under Ryan's bed and eats socks). Or a 4 part series of books about 2 kids who live on a space station (none of the parts are fully written ). Or a childrens play about a space ship powered by baked beans that crash lands on earth....Any takers? :rotfl:
I don't write when I'm drunk, honest!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I want a signed first edition, and I promise not to e-bay it0 -
You've got a deal"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Day 34  Time is whizzing by...........not.
4-part challenge update at 40% of the way through:- Only 30% of the way towards my £1,000 but have some scheduled MS payments due, and will list on e-bay on Thursday when it's half price listing. Need Staycationers to be interested at this time of year I suppose :rotfl:
- 40% of my weight-loss achieved - but I've stopped walking because it's been raining so much
- As for the garden    I've gone backwards. The weeds LOVE this weather. Last night I looked at my broad beans, the 3 plants that were doing so well are now just stalks :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: The ground was littered with the fattest, bloatedest slugs going. The were lying there groaning and complaining how full they were. Did they eat the chickweed that covered the bed? Did they heck, they were using it as shade, so that when I pulled some up I grasped fat slugs too. Yeuch.
- And the writing....................must do better.
Must be all that stuff I'm going to sell.
If it stops raining tonight, I'll mow the lawn.
If it is wet and horrible I'll do some writing
Popeye is incommunicado until Friday night so I won't [strike]waste[/strike] spend hours Skyping him.
If you're reading this Popeye :embarasse  :happylove0
