Hello,
In PC World they have Lexmark cartridges that were on a promotion which is now finished and have been reduced. Comes with Michelin European map cd free.
...
I bought 2 x 16's for £14.93 each
and 2 x 26's for £16.23 each.
The colour 26 are retailing at £22.99. (saving £6.76 each)
.....
Sitting next to normal priced cartridges.
....
Had plenty in stock and a good range when I was there yesterday.0 -
Thanks EKokay - I made exactly the same purchase in Cardiff and saved over £25 compared to the non-promo prices.
I wish ink was free - the link to the refill site above may be useful but they don't seem to be offering 16 and 26 cartridges yet.
About the PC World offer though, it may only apply to two sets of cartridges, 16/26 and one other. I'm really sorry that I did not make a note of which one - their "customer service" phone line in Sheffield could not tell me anything about this offer or connect me to the store to check availablity. So if you are interested you will have to visit a store. In my branch there was a separate display stand at the end of the aisle. Someone just browsing might not spot the bargains.Springsteen obsessive0 -

If you use a refill kit with lexmark printer and it still fails to print after you refill do this....works for me. Using a pair of tweezers or something else, lift out the spongy stuff that contains the ink out of the printer chamber. If you are refilling a colour make sure that you dont get the spongy colours things mixed up and remember the chamber that you took it out of.
Wash the now empty catridge under hot water both inside and on the print heads...a really good wash ! You will be surprized how much ink will be washed away, but the idea here is to unblock the workings as they probably contain dried ink, which stops the catridge from working.
Now replace the sponges into the chambers that they came out of, push well down inside and test head on a sheet of kitchen roll to make sure that ink is flowing ok. If not either top up sponge with more ink, or use syringe to remove some ink from sponge. Overfilling will also stop the catridge from working, the sponge should have enough ink without you seeing a surplus of ink floating about.
With a bit of luck your catridge will now work ok.0 -
I've always got the best prices (inclusive of postage!) for original Lexmark cartridges from PhotoGlossy.com in the Channel Islands... happy printing!0

I know not everyone can join Costco (bulk warehouse) but if you can ,they have lexmark cartridges in 2's
I just got 2 colour for 25.47 and 2 black for 23.49
new original number 17's and 27's
If you run a business I guess you can claim the VAT back too so they would be even cheaper.
They had other lexmark cart's too but those are the ones we use.
WHSmith's are doing a points for empties on Lexmark and HP carts at the moment.0 -
