Why there's a special section
There's is no definitive way to find the cheapest cartridges, no price comparison engines cover it comprehensively. Therefore I thought we could harness Moneysavers power to do this properly
What to do
When you find a cheap supply for your Lexmark printer, please note what the cartridge was and how much you paid, plus any other hints and tips.
To do it - just click reply to the thread
The following list of cheap suppliers was brilliantly compiled by chatter B4UgoZzz from other peoples post on the sites. They're a good startin point.

I have an Lexmark X75. Official black ink is at best £19 - this time I took it to be refilled at Cartridge World who did it for £13 (they had the official one for £25.
So far no problems at all. I think I'll try it myself next time which should knock another fiver off the cost.0 -
When using refill kits for Lexmark make sure the kit states specifically that it is suitable for your Lexmark printer. Some so called 'universal' refill kits do not work properly with Lexmark printers - I think they let air into the cartridge making them inoperable.
I have successfully used the refill kits from the Inktec and Techno Vision brands for refilling my Lexmark cartridges.0 -
Since posting the collection of sites, you may be interested to know how my search for a bargain went. I was after a black cartridge for a Lexmark (3200).
Original branded best price was £17.99 from https://www.mx2.co.uk
Compatible...... best price was £10.99 from https://www.e-inkjet.co.uk
[Both with freepost.]
Having been quoted £31, when I began this hunt...I'm pleased.
(From the list of sites which had been recommended, it is also notable that prices varied enormously, so clearly one supplier unlikely to be best for all Makes and models.) Give them a try.
p.s. Martin.....thanks for the appreciation.
Keep up the good work, fella !
Cheers, keep smiling, Wilf.Keep smiling!0 -
Greatnews about ink cartridges. Yet another section of public exploitation.

Tesco are selling the Lexmark Z33 with a Creative Photo Kit printer for half price at £22.49. This includes colour and black cartridge for less than the price of a black Lexmark cartridge.
Oops, cartridges seem to be half size!0 -

I would NOT recommend anyone to use INKCYCLE to purchase Ink Cartridges. The recycled cartridges don't work and their customer service is appalling. I purchased 3 recycled cartridges from them 12A1975, 12A1990 and 15M0125. All three have spectacularly failed to work. I telephoned to complain and was told replacements could not be sent without the faulty ones being returned. I did this and a week later received replacements. Which have again spectacularly failed to work. I am now in a situation where I need to do some printing today as I work from home, I have no car to get to the shops to buy a cartridge, and no black ink coming out of the 12A1975 Recycled Inkcycle cartridge. I tried to use the colour 15M0125 cartridge yesterday, which has no red in it. I telephoned Inkcycle, was put through to a MRS KIRSTY WESTLE, who said she is a Director of Inkcycle. She refused to send me a replacement by guaranteed next day delivery. She said this was not because she couldn't but because she wouldn't, as it is not company policy. I find this appalling. She has no conception of what good customer service entails. I am now going to phone my friends to see if someone will give me a lift to town so I can buy a Lexmark original replacement. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I have now bought Lexmark Original Cartridges and will do so from now on. I got the 12A1970 from Staples who did a price-match with Tesco, so I paid £22.45. I got the 15M0120 from Inkraider - I ordered Sunday and received Wednesday - £24.86 incl p&p and VAT....Further updates on the cheapest original Photo Cartridge 12A1990 as I have them!

It`s official Lexmark are the cheapest
says LEXMARK
Email from lexmark:
Dear Mr *****
Thank you for your recent email, apologies for not responding sooner.
With regards to the price of Ink cartridges for our printers, you must bear in
mind that our cartridges hold a lot more ink than our competitors. In addition
to this on fixed printhead machines, each time the printer is switched on and
off, a jet of ink is flushed through the printhead to clean it. Over the life span of the cartridge, this process can use up to 25% of the ink. Lexmark cartridges
never need to perform this process, hence another overall cost saving.
As a suggestion purchasing the cartridges tend to work out a bit cheaper if buying a couple rather than one from our Lexmark store.
You can contact them on 0800 634 2070 or place your order online at

might be surprsing, but whsmith always worth a look, they do they're own refilled cart's, & often have them on 3 for 2, i just ordered 3 black's for the x85, worked out at just over £13 each, sadly, they didn't have colour instock.
have used these a few times without problem.
and yes, I support lexmark's cheaper theory on more ink per cart, I seem to use less than half the carts on this than i did on my epson & hp's before (not to mention it being far more reliable.)This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
