Just want to endorse Sarah's comment about INKCYCLE compatables. I had loads of trouble too.
Find that sticking to Lexmark originals in the long run is a much better option & they do last much longerThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Which?mag recently did a comparison of printer costs based on average usage and Lexmark although very cheap to initially buy came out up to 5 times more expensive to run than the cheapest annual running cost0

Why there's a special section
There's is no definitive way to find the cheapest cartridges, no price comparison engines cover it comprehensively. Therefore I thought we could harness Moneysavers power to do this properly
What to do
When you find a cheap supply for your Lexmark printer, please note what the cartridge was and how much you paid, plus any other hints and tips.
To do it - just click reply to the thread
The following list of cheap suppliers was brilliantly compiled by chatter B4UgoZzz from other peoples post on the sites. They're a good startin point.PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ADD OTHERS SUPPLIERS TO THE LIST IN THE THREADhttp://www.inkcycle.co.uk/

;)Hi, this is the first time that I have commented on this site so please be gentle!
Re. Lexmark cartridges, this may seem strange but I needed a load of ink as I was going to print some brochures for our new venture.
Well, money being tight, as we all know, I saw some
refill packs for colour and black in Aldi, £6 & £7, so I bought one of each,
I've no wish to bore you but I made a right mess of it until I talked to a chap that refilled cartridges in a little shop!
He showed me the inside of the cartridges that you get with the printer, they have a partition across them so they hold very little ink.
Once I saw this I only squirted 10ml into the cartridges and then ran the nozzle cleaning program.
if ink leaked out I sucked some back out with the syringe.
If the colours did not go right across the test page I sucked a bit more out.
It's like everything else, once you've sorted it, it is all too easy. I now buy the refill packs from PC World, when the colour starts to fade just the slightest on my prints it takes no more than five minutes to top them up and away you go.
I seem to be getting six complete refills per bottle, and at approx £9 I must be doing something right.0 -

I've just ordered 2x Black and 2x Colour for my Z65 for a total of £70.45 (with free 2nd class post delivery), an average of £15 each. Excellent price, I think.

Hi everyone,
You know those annoying search results that sometimes pop up unasked for, eg Starware, Dealtime, Gain etc?
Well, when recently ordering ink cartridges at my usual site - Ink Factory.com - I let myself get sidetracked and discovered a great site - Printergear.co.uk.
For some time now, I've believed that Ink Factory was the cheapest place to get original cartridges for my Lexmark Z45 printer, but now I've found them even cheaper - £19.95 for 12A1970 black, £31.98 for twinpack 12A1970 black (£15.99 each) and £22.95 for 15MO120 colour. Free P&P and, in the event of any queries, a telephone service the likes of which I thought had died out with Grace Brothers! So helpful, polite and friendly, I can't stop telling people.0
