I should imagine getting a bunch of housing stats out are the least of HBOS's problems at the moment. Apart from their mortgage book, they've lent £40bn to construction and property companies.

How bad are the figures?

Ooooh, the suspense......wish they'd get a move on. Have they had to sack all the people who can count?

Maybe Declan on BBC Breakfast should comment about the 'delay' in Halifax figures, something along the lines that it is not only the shares that are suffering, but also Halifax can't do its job and produce the bloody figures or at least publish a statement explaining the delay?

Is there anyone from Halifax on this forum who could shed some light?

Or are they just going to 'save money' and publish them together with the next month's figures?

Monday is almost over and still no Halifax figures, this is getting very strange now. What have they got to hide, or are they busy cooking the books?

Apparently the figures are now out tomorrow.
