Teens and Coppers

I hate having coppers in my purse so I tend to pay with coppers when I go to a self scanner till. I was there for ages one day cause I had about 3 bags of change to get rid of. Trouble is, my building society won't take more than 2 bags of coins at a time.
DH hates them too but he hates it even more when I pinch them!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
I have a tin for 2s and 1s and a jar for 5ps and the odd 10p and 20p goes in there, 50p or more i have, if its a pound coin it goes on the shelf for the £3 a day DS needs for bus and school dinner, So my purse is always empty
Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0 -
I have a Terramundi for £2 and an electronic thingy for other coins but it's a little naff so might find it a new home...
10p and 20p get spent I'm afraid... And My husband gets really annoyed now when people give him more than one £2 coin in his change cos he knows where it's going! :rotfl: Although he did come home last night proudly proffer up a shiny £2 coin for me! And was horrified when he thought I was gonna put it in my purse! In fact I had another one in there but he was really worried for a second! heheDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Hey! Lol I thought I was the only one! I used to hate them - it got so bad I would chuck them in the bin cuz I thought that they stunk! Thats a really good idea about saving all the coppers though - I can imagine that it would add up to quite abitxXx0

I know lots of people who hate coppers (my DH included).
I save them and have a count up about once a year (often before we go on holiday) - it usually gets us about £50!
My mum always used to do the same and counted it up before the annual fair - we were always keen to help as it was our spending money!
On a different note: Am I the only one who thought this was another thread about lawless teenagers? :rotfl:0
