Try just using a vinegar and water solution first on the taps and see if that works?
I periodically use bleach in the sink and instead of using the plug I stuff kitchen paper in the plug hole and the bleach soaks into and then cleans the draining bit.0 -

This may have already been mentioned, but there is a cheap product from pound shops called Elbow Grease and is for removing, well strangely enough grease. It is the best cleaner I have ever used and you don't need a lot of it so it is cheap.Loving the dtd thread. x0

Hello, I've just been reading (most of) this thread. I was looking for how to make my laundry smell nice, especially after I tumble dry it.
At the moment I use ecover and fabric conditioner but I see that white vinegar would be good for lots of things as well as instead of fabric conditioner. Then I'm thinking I would need something to make the laundry smell nice?
Also I don't get soda crystals or stardrops (having never used them), how do I clean bathroom tiles and worktops, and the grease near the cooker with these?
Also I'm interested in the putting vinegar solution on my car windscreen to stop the frost, could I mix it with the windscreen wash in the tank? I normally use that red bottled firewater stuff but it's not that good.0 -

It's a good idea that one, I've heard a few people mention it. I was using those tumble dry sheets but if they get stuck to just one piece of clothing and concentrate on it, that bit makes me itch. I need some nice smelling essential oils.
The vinegar fabric condition is still working well & makes normal washing powder smell stronger0 -
Thank you for that. I have also found about half a tbsp of Stardrops in the dishwasher dispenser brings my dishes up brilliantly.Try and do a good deed every day.0
