Is there anyone on here who is from Ireland and Has bought a car from autoquake???
I'm thinking about buying a car from AutoQuake but want to see what other peoples experiences were when they got there car home to ireland???0 -
I havent got one and infact dont know anything about the company but i would be very wary of a few of the reviews posted above that was positive. I know i might be mistaked but 2 of the peoples only post was posting a review on this thread and in my experience although people will register to complain if they have had a bad service many genuine people would register just to post a positive comment about a company.0

Hi again,
Well, my car was delivered as promised at the time (within 15 mins) promised, good start. Delivery man was pleasant chap, although he had nothing to do with Autoquake.
Anyway had quick check of car before i accepted delivery, first impressions were good, as described.
Right, here we are 4 days into ownership and I can only say the car is exactly as described on autoquake's site, runs well, nice to drive, and very clean inside and out except for a couple of scuffs on front bumper which were described and photographed on website.
All i can say is i did a lot of research on the internet about the particular make and model of the car i bought before buying and checked prices on ebay and autotrader. Looks like i've ended up with a nice car with a 3 year warranty for app. £1000 less than i could find the car for anywhere else. Result:beer:
Would i recommend autoquake?, no, ( i don't recommend anyone/thing ) all i can say is this is my experience, which is positive and i'm happy with my purchase.
And yes i did just register to tell you of my experience as this was one of the forums that came up during my research !!

Am I missing something here? you, the customer have to pay £100 deposit to view the car they are trying to flog to you.
I don't belieeeeeeeeve it.0 -
How many people will register on this site specifically to defend a company? It looks like someone who works for them is trying to get some positive feedback to show up on Google! :rolleyes:0

I just wanna say i have no association whatsoever with autoquake. If i had bought a great tasting can of caviar (urghh) from harrods and said so on here would you say i worked for them?
i just thought as people, like myself, ask the question i would give the benefit of my experience with said firm. I am a self employed tradesman and don't have the time, or like, trudging round places looking to buy a car or anything else for that matter, i love the interweb, by reading info like i have given in above post people can gather their own opinion!!
Just to add a bit more info (sorry you doubters but it is positive) we have had the car for almost a week now and i can only say, great, it is as described. By having it delivered we had 7 days to decide whether to keep it or not, needless to say we are keeping it !!
It may break down in a month or whenever, but so may a car bought anywhere, even new. If it does then i will be able to test the 3 year warranty that i bought. Backup that i didnt have when i bought a much more expensive car privately a couple of years ago ... that cost me dearly:mad:
Just accept this for what it is, one persons experience.:D
Isn't this what forums are for?0 -
i agree...would be interesting to see positive reviews from people with a post count of more than 3:rolleyes:***MSE...My.Special.Escape***0

I paid a deposit on a BMW X3 for my wife a couple of weeks ago from AutoQuake.com. Once you pay your £100 online you have to ring for an appointment, which I did and booked to go and collect the car the very next day.
I arranged a taxi to take me from my home in Oxfordshire to their depot in Birmingham which cost me £130.
Upon arriving at a shabby industrial estate, you are escorted to a waiting room which reminds you of a 3rd world hospital. It's totally dis-organised and some of the people had been waiting more than an hour.
My situation was worse though, my name did not appear on their "list" at all and after 30 mins of waiting they took me to a seperate back office and showed me the appointments computer.
The person who had booked my appointment had done so for 11:00am on the DAY THAT I RANG. Even though it was 2:00pm (so they booked my appointment in the past) - Go figure. Just plain stupidity.
The AutoQuake guys were quite defensive saying "we dont book the appointments here" etc.
THEY were also unwilling or unable to help me that day. So I left empty-handed.
Needless to say, I asked for my deposit back which they refunded after a few days. However, I will never attempt to buy a vehicle from them again.0 -
Hi, I spent approx £9500 on a BMW from autoquake. After paying a deposit on line, I went to view and collect the car at Birmingham. To cut a long story short, firstly the shabby on site customer service was very poor after being left standing around for ages in a portacabin hut without even so much as acknowledgement and it was as if they really weren't bothered about selling the car. Then without really looking over the car in any depth I discovered obvious problems that weren't on the on line advertisement. The salesman/customer service person (Ajay) said he'd have a chat with his boss (yes, that old one) and he came back and said that as a gesture of good will they'd give me £50 off (a lot less compared to what it would cost to have repairs done). I expected it to come off of the total, but was told a cheque would be sent to me. Basically, getting the feeling this Ajay was just lying I asked for something in writing. I was assured the mere £50 would be sent and one month later - NOTHING. After phone calls to Birmingham and e-mails to autoquake's customer service dept. I have still had no phone reply (just automated fob off e-mails) and it seems i was right about this Ajay (and i think it's fair to say right about autoquake as he represents them) in saying I was fed the sort of bull you'd expect from a back street second hand car sales shack. In my opinion, STAY WELL AWAY FROM AUTOQUAKE!0

Ladies and Gents, it seems this site was either stumbled upon by Autoquake's staff or they have researchers; after leaving my reply on here in which I mentioned the lack of response from Autoquake after many calls and e-mails to them, I then had a rapid response. Obviously forum bad press is not good for an internet based car sales Co.
The reason for this reply is simply to update and honour my promise to the Autoquake manager (Dave) I spoke to that I would let people know that my case was dealt with well and I received a cheque that I'd been promised earlier after discussion with him. It would seem some areas of Autoquake's business (some Birmingham staff) may have been replaced and new management may have been appointed to make improvements.
Many thanks to Dave who took the bull by the horns and definitely sorted something out that would have cost Autoquake thousands in lost sales.
Cheers Dave0
