just putting left over veggie and tomato sauce in freezer ... unearthed some lambs liver. i love it with bacon, but no one else is keen! can i make that into pate? or any other ideas?

    thanks loocyloo

:DI've tried the pate with ox liver, lamb's liver and pigs liver now. Ox is a wee bit strong, but I think the others work very well. The ox one was fine if you had chutney with it!;)

I just asked DH to taste the bolognaise for me before I make it into a lasagne.
Mmm, nice, he said. So I asked if he don't mind it being vegetarian then:rotfl:
Whadduja mean? he said not realising I made it with soya mince:T.
I told him and he's fine with it (not everytime though I don't think, although, how would he know!?:rotfl:)

    1-0 to me I think :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Thank you for whoever suggested soya mince in the first place, this way he can have it with Dolmio/ragu sauce which he prefers to my homemade one:mad: as I save on the meat. Suits me.

    The beans are looking good

I have done the full pack and scaled up the recipe x 4 i also added a heaped teaspoon smoked paprika

I got a pack of pork and chorizo sausages whoopsied to £1 ,took the meat out of the sausages and rolled nto 36 tiny meatballs dropped these into the beans whilst cooking

we will be having baby new potatoes from garden roasted in garlic and rosemary with it the kids also requested a fried egg ??

Will let you know the outcome ...............although i must say it smells good

Great idea about the meat balls Shaz. I take it if they're small, they don't need browning separately first?
  • HI. I've finally managed to read right thru' this thread and now I'm hooked.
So ....... I've got onions, corgettes, mini sweetcorn and a squash in the fridge - can I do an oven baked veggies dish with these?
I've got proper olive oil etc but don't know how hot/long to cook for.
    Any ideas welcome

I would pre heat your oven tray in a hot oven, cut all theveg into similair size pieces and drizzle with oil and season with salt pepper and any herbs you have

Then add this to the hot tray and cook for about 45 mins until some of the things have charred edges nice with lemon juice and couscous
