Dont worry Weezl I've saved my faves as word docs but having said that it will take up site space having it twice wont it?
A dilemma for pepys to discuss if I may! On my new lovely (say that enough times I'll believe it!) slimming world most muller light yogs are free which means you can have as much as you want BUT they worry me...I dont hugely like the taste of aspartane and sure I read somewhere that its BAD for you (& possibly also can STOP weight loss which would certainly be counter productive & more than a tad annoying) plus me thinks more £ than plain yog...Any thoughts? I wonderedw hether I should swap to actimel yogs & have less as sure they would be better for me if more £? Would be interested to know what you lovely lot think as I am struggling with time to think ths week as tired & alot on...brain may go pop if I think too much!
Weezl did you read the ? re the pot 9.5 being a loaf or per slice! I am excited to think it may be a loaf & in which case will do special go advanced & get mr Junpy smily out it that particular statistics honor!
Have done well & not shopped yet this week! Being honest honestly cannot be bothered & know I have enough food to last me till weekend with some innovation! Actually I won't give you my muffin recipes as they didn't rise very well so it needs a bit of tweeking - will say though that my 'filling' ideas worked ok, feta cheese & raisins make a nice savoury one, and dried pineapple, fresh ginger and a drop of elderflower syrup make a lovely tasting tangy fruity one. (Note of approx costs for my future reference - 3p each for savoury and 6p for sweet - they're only little ones!)Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

Hi ISOM, i find some very nice alternatives in Netto..they do the Rachels organic, low fat range...( Same is a lot dearer in the major supermarkets) all free if i remember correctly and if not very low syns. Worth it in my opinion..i often use plain low fat and will add free fruit, better for you..if you get the bio yogs you can make your own low fat, free ones as well.
I will just hunt out my book and then let you know.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

I think that, for a long time, the media confused "healthy eating" with "low fat" and didn't look at the implications very deeply. Think of all those low-fat products which are still touted as "healthy" despite being stuffed with added sugars, chemical sweeteners, salts, flavourings or starches/fillers to compensate for the reduction in taste caused by removing the fat. Why a fat-free yoghurt needs modified maize starch, gelatine, colouring, acidity regulators (sodium citrates), citric acid, flavourings, stabilisers (pectins) and sweetener (Aspartame), I'll never fathom. Far better, surely, to have a smaller amount of proper yoghurt with proper fruit in it?
No, I have software called MacGourmet which I sometimes(!) remember to store recipes in. There is a Nutrition plug-in which calculates the nutritional information according to the USDA (one reason why I was drawn in by the title of your earlier thread), and gives you a breakdown per serving. It's the sort of thing I like to play with every now and then, but don't use regularly.
Maybe I should get out more!
Yep...to weezl's place by the sound of it:rotfl: :rotfl: . Weezl - ever had the feeling you've just found a kindred spirit?;) :rotfl:0 -

As such, I don't think those figures can be counted on, but I may have another go at making this on Thursday or Friday.........

Yep i was right the organic Bio live fat free is free, the fruit ones have syn values, but range from 3.5-5.5. I hope that is useful, slightly off topic but yogs have quite a few uses in recipes as well, nice for an alternative to cream in curries, and as a thickner in soups as well...or just a pud!Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Thanks both - sorry missed it Weezl...threads so fast moving skim read a bit fast & missed the lovely geeky maths! An improvement but still a treat me thinks! Bob do you think the pot would be more SW healthy if it was brown bread instead of white...just a thought?
CW I'm not sure if my recipie can be machinised but here is a specific machine one - not tried & tested though as flogged me bread maker as like making it by hand now!

Weezl, that recipe sounds like tapenade bulked out with herbs and nutsneither of which I can see would change the flavour much. I've only had black olive one made by a friend and that's gooorgeous, expect the green one would be a bit tangier but I'd love to try it....only me who eats it though and I don't think olives freeze well.
