I know it is only soon but maybe we could have some kind of baby shower a little later on, we are all huge fans of yours and I think pretty much all of us like creating things in one form or another so perhaps we could all be thinking of a small gift that at some point we can send to Fergus, if you don't mind that is Weezl?

Congratulations Weezl and Acetate Monkey and fab idea Sian the Green - if the Weezl household okays the idea I'd definitely be thrilled to have a way of saying "thank you" for all the informationa and advice that i've gleaned from this thread. Also, it has cheered me up.

Tomorrow we are doing a birthday tea for ISOM, thought you might like to see the menu... ISOM look away now if you want a surprise!

saag aloo- spinach and potato in a cumin and tomato sauce
peshwari aloo gobi - sweetish and coconutty curry with califlower, potato and ginger
keema dhansak - minced lamb with green tomatoes, spices
tandoori chicken thigh - marinated in yoghurt, chilli, ginger, lemon and garlic and then roasted in a hot oven

    chocolate torte

I really hope she likes it! Is it bad form to post costings for someone else's birthday meal?

    Evening all

Well Im chuffed to little mintballs :p Hubby got out of work early so we went to the patch of blackberries we have been lovingly searching and picking for the last few weeks..got a few -but nothing much.. on the way home I thought I saw some across 2 lanes of traffic and through some trees  hubby turned round and went back -and I was right :j Not bad for someone who wears glasses and is still useless at seeing long distance :rotfl: but them little beauties I saw :p ..there is about a 1/2 mile stretch -behind some woods, off the road and on a nice little path -involving no scrambling through thorns..so we got 2lbs ..and will be going back next week and every weekend until they are NO more :D .. They will be stewed with my freebie apples and frozen tomorrow :T
Had pasta bake for dinner..so roasted off loads of tomatoes, chillies, courgettes, patty pan, peppers and aubergines -all out of the garden -so have 3 more bags stashed in the freezer :D

right i will get off to the sewing again.. oh and by the way - I have a small confession... I always thought weezle would be someone in their 40s/50s ...oopppsy ...she is younger than me (just looked in your profile):o :rotfl: ..sorry weezle :D

Decorating aside, I must now confess to another thing which has kept me from posting so much of late.

It would appear that a small Weezl is on the way. I am 13.5 weeks pregnant.

What were we to do? I ate all the meals in the freezer I could keep down:eek:, and then hit a dilemma. I couldn't tell you all, cos it felt too soon as family and friends didn't know yet. I couldn't cheat, as I am a woman of my word.

    Much head scratching ensued....

Acetate Monkey, protective of miserable food-hating me, and concerned for the development of Fergus the foetus (his current nickname:eek:) concocted a plan.

It's 50p per person per day, quoth he...you won't have cheated if you eat another 50p. He in fabulously magnanimous fashion has remained true to his 50p throughout:o. (although Fergus gave him a bowl of muesli t'other day!)

So, that's what I decided to do. I really hope I haven't let anyone down and have remained true to the spirit of the challenge. I have lots more geeky maths related to how to get enough calcium etc for pregnancy on my new plan!

I felt if I posted my daily figures before, the game would be up, but if you'll all still have me, I shall continue to post away in earnest!;)

Other facts you might like to know, due date 05/03/09. Scan was wednesday and heart and limbs were all present and correct.

Love to you all, and may I beg your forgiveness for my secrecy?:D

    Weezl x

CONGRATULATIONS our weezl........hmmmm....says she - remembering how several of us were querying whether you were some weeks ago (me and ISOM and I think there mighta been one or two others). Well....we'll forgive 'ee lass....I did wonder if summat besides decorating was going on chez Weezl:D

Well......have you got any idea JUST how many honorary godmothers - and perhaps one or two godfathers - weazlette is going to have:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    O'course we'll forgive 'ee m'dear...:D
