Lentils are a superfood as far as I am concerned!
I am mostly vege and don't eat much quorn these days due to the price of it, so tend to chuck a handful of lentils into everything possible!;)
I will check the packaging tonight, but off the top of my head they are hgh in fibre, have both carb and protien and B vitamins too, I think.
Ooh, look at this

Bashful - you have every right not to have worked so don't feel you need 'excuses'. Say you decided to take time out to do some things for yourself - you could list a few - study, read, explore your area. I don't think you would be asked too many questions about it these days as people are tending to change career, take time out etc. I left one job a few years ago and enrolled to learn teaching Basic Skills Literacy. Other people I met were taking time out to rethink their lives/ priorities etc.
Good luck!

Thankyou...I have been doing a course at home for months now, an IT course, so hopefully that is a good enough excuse, very behind now but hopefully be finished by end of next month. I just worry, that they will think I'm lazy and not employ me, but I have just applied for a little xmas job and filled out another app to hand in so fingers crossed, just need to get out the house now or I'll go mad!!!! Thankyou x x x

Is pickling vinegar different to white distilled vinegar? Could I add spices to white distilled vinegar to use it to pickle with?
told you I was a newbie at it lol...and how do you sterilise them?
White distilled vinegar is very good to pickle with, especially if you want to retain more of the colour of the produce you are using, and some recipes recommend it for that reason. It is just as strong and effective as malt vinegar, and will take up the flavour of any spices you use in the same way.
What is it that you want to serilise?0 -
Hi Ladies,
Bashful sorry to hear your news.
My nan has just told me that she has a loganberry bsh/tree in her garden. Any ideas what I could do with Loganberries. After a sucessful day foraging over a kilo of Blackberries the bug has bit and I cant wait to do a bit more.
Thanks

yum loganberries.... haven't had them in ages. We used eat them as they were. Or use them like a raspberry. Mum did apple and loganberry crumble, and summer pudding (which I can't stand but many people love) - it's white bread lining a bowl red fruits in the middle, bread on top and then a plate stuck on top and chilled. The bread goes red and soggy from the fruit juices and you "should" be able to turn it upside down on to a plate and serve. Mum loved it.

My parents used to have Loganberries and Raspberries in their garden -- I personally preferred the Loganberries as they tended to be larger and not quite as "tart"Cheryl0
