50p a day til Christmas - healthily?! Weezl's next challenge...

Doing one of my intermittent records of spending for the week - and come in at about £19 for the food element so far - guesstimate £25 by end of week. Dear by many MSE'ers standards - and stratospheric by our Weezl's - but well pleased chez ceridwen at having reduced down from about £35 per week on average (and that was prior to the Price Increases). So - got that dreaded Organic Price Premium on sizeable proportion of my food and share Weezl's insistence that it must be "real" coffee - but the change to way of thinking bit I've been encouraged into here is helping me out already on the budget front. Might have room to go a bit further yet....right ...off to prepare those nettles I foraged for earlier (I'm about to try out a recipe from that link Moany Moany gave earlier today).
Further thoughts for our Weezl - and the deliberations "to self-publish or not to self-publish - that is the question....whether 'tis nobler.......etc....etc".
Well...been giving that further thought as I foraged and chopped and thinking "Yep....a mixture of ingredients for a potential cookbook...bit like this thread really.....think thats the best way meself" and -er.......if you do do this our Weezl then...... Errrrrrr..... ceridwen does like an index to cookbooks purlease.....I bought a certain self-published cookbook recently (which shall be nameless....on the grounds I want to be still alive to eat my nettle meal - and I might have the writer as a near neighbour;) for all I know) and one of the things wrong with it was - it didnt have an index....couldnt believe it.....or the fact that vegetarian recipes were virtually non-existent - HUH??????
TAKE THIS AS A PRE-ORDER FOR A COPY PURLEASE:D0 -

He looks extremely healthy and I am totally jealous that he can eat your lovely puddings and cookies and retain his trim figure! (I thought he was very nice too, which gave me the courage to enquire about your identity!)0

Hi all
just spent 20 mins in garden transplanting some pak choi and chinese cabbage and earthing up me sprouts
Looking forward to all the food which is almost here have had lots of lettuce rocket and spinach so far and courgettes too but most excited t the baby runner beans appearing !!
Had a v un weezl dinner cooked an egg roll stuffed with said leaves and a pickled radish salad chilli beef veg chow mein and did the others spare ribs (i don't like 'em)
All in i think it cost about £8 mostly down to the organic meat the recipes are all from the BBC programme I find the woman is really annoying but have tried nearly all the recipes and are very good
We as you know have a chinese grocers the lady there used to do night school classes and i went a few years back it was lovely and i really like the traditional food but it all revolves around fresh ingredients so not good on a really tight budget pak choi £1.15 shitake £1 you get the picture
Shaz stuffed but happy(must be the MSG and the mega painkillers...LOL)
Theres plenty of veg and noodles left for tomorrow lunch too*****

Evening Weezlites! OO has Mr Weezl been founded out? Piggy supper looks lovely & the biccies look yum too (better than the brains thats for sure - thought of you when I ate cottage cheese at lunch!)...jealous of the latter! Hope all OK in Weezl land...me telapathic skills are a bit conked out today
...
Help yog making pepys...I've had a disaster! It didnt work! Just ended up curdled & runny so I chucked it! Can I tray again with longlife or does it need to be fresh milk? What did I do wrong?
Just off to make supper (bacon & eggs!) and check the soap! Shaz your bits are in the post so you should get them tomorrow. Weezl did you try the bath milk? Verdict? Hair treatment (to compliment the asda bubble [STRIKE]bath[/STRIKE] shampoo!!)?!!
Re the book I recon Mrs Weezl should go on drive time (Chris Evans) as shes the kind of nutter he loves and then they's demand a book!!! Whatcha think Weezl?
I have a lovely allotment book Shaz about a guy who (like me) was clueless & it gave a purpose for living - lovely to see him blossom! Hapy to lend if youd like to borrow - called alloted time! Very funny, deep & amusing to see the bloky brain at work, as only a blokie brain can!
Ok tummy rumbles & cats nagging! Back later!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -

Watch my sig like a hawk!
