Hi everyone:hello: :hello: :hello:
I still read everyday but can never think of anything useful to add! My budget was restarted from beginning of July as although I was still spending roughly within the limits of the challenge I got very lazy about adding up all the figures and lost count. So far I'm doing Ok I think but my biggest hurdle will be Christmas presents etc - hoping to start VERY early (for me anyway, I can see lots of you started in January:eek: ) and look for bargains. Must try hard to curb OH's enthusiasm for chucking money around when the word 'present' is mentioned. S'pose I shouldn't grumble too much as he doesn't spend much on himself.....
Anyway, enough rambling. Off to put my name down at another 4 allotment sitesOH thinks I've gone mad!!!

I am sooo ill. I woke up and felt like I had hangover which was so unfair as I haven't been drinking. It is this flipping cold. I have taken paracetamol and it doesn't help, will try some cold remedy in a minute.
Good news: the fridge manufacturer has promised to let me have a new fridge-freezer. The bad news: It can take 7 days before I am informed of the delivery time.
Today is the last day that DD eats at the nursery for two weeks. How on earth I am going to manage to keep food in the house for her without a fridge? I can't cook just for one meal, there are always left overs to carry over for next meal or to put in the freezer. And also pointless to go and buy any ingredients as nowhere to store them. I think it is going to be food from cans for us.
My head feels like it is going to explode so need to go and take something..."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Oooh Marru. Reminds me of when I was little a very very long time ago.
Never even knew fridges existed. Have no idea how Mum managed.
Hope the cold gets better soon.0 -
I'm still here too! My sig is up to date for the end of July. I was attempting to include everything except union membership and rent, but thanks to my car bill so far this month being more than my entire month's budget I think I'll have to take that out of the equation. Living in a shared house I don't pay any bills separately, as they are part of my rent.
Edit: Marru, hope you feel better soon!
Edit again: Yuck, the cat's been sick under my bed.Live on £11k in 20110 -
the_cat - glad you are still with us, I'll add your name to my little list of survivors, thanks for hanging on in there!
Marru - I hope you feel better soon
Lyndasharp - It was your post that made me laugh when I read the cat had been sick under your bed! I couldn't help but wonder why you had a fellow frugaler hiding under there in the first place. :rotfl: I'm glad Betsy Belle is back on the road and I still think garage bills beat vets' bills, especially of the horse variety.I reserve the right not to spend.

Nice to see a little group of us hanging in there! :T Thanks for sticking with it and providing inspiration and support.
I was going to relook at my spends for the year to date and definitely need to now as I am including things I don't need to. I'm going to do a spreadsheet of all my spends so I have a summary document to montior next year against.
This has been an expensive week - car MOT which failed and repairs, car tax, vet's bill, flea treatment and meds, among other things  The only good news is I had an unexpected interest bonus of just over £10
I'm really feeling the urge to go out and party tonight... I'm fed up of not acting my age and feeling 'alive'. I don't even care about the money, but will I pay for it too much with my health if I do?...The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

I have signed up to a new dating site and got a whole load of messages, my question is that why all of them look so old? Why don't I feel that old myself? Perhaps I should start looking for a toy boy?
Redglass, thanks for your message and tips. I will do it if the delay really starts to get me.
Supper tonight: whoopsied tiny quiche and some macaroni cheese from can, breakfast tomorrow: cheese and egg on toast, lunch tomorrow: canned soup, supper tomorrow: boiled potatoes with canned beans and tuna and cheese. So then only need to go to the shop on Sunday to find something for lunch and supper. Why don't they sell ready meals for veggies in the shops? On the positive note got pack of mandarines (or clementines or what ever they were) for DD for 20p!!! :T
Bails - wait till I get better and I will go out with you but even that I don't feel my age I do feel too old to go clubbing.
Trying to do some MB so off I go...

Updated. Spent so far (to date)= £1,354.51. Left of budget = £1,645.49 out of 3k :T . 45.15% of budget spent in (I believe nykmedia said) 62% of the time.
Got up at 6am for work today  . I usually do a 2pm-10pm shift but they wanted me to do them a favour so I went to a different place for them at different shift times. Also had to work an hour more than I'm used to which was rather difficult. However will get £46.92 for the day before tax (due to the other work I have done this week) and travel (taken by agency as need the transport to get to work  ) so I'm happy with that
. I don't like doing an 8am-5pm day though. 6am wake up
I find it difficult to sleep at night so not likely to do what I did today often lol.
I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy0
