    Great thread!

I run a couple of wedding websites that I earn a little bit off but I need to earn more! The sites are very busy with over 1300 visitors a day but I am not really getting the best out of them so I am working on changing that.

But in the meantime I am planning to use my secretarial skills from home by working as a virtual assistant. I already do this for my husband's company I also manage their company website and their adwords campaign so I may as well do it for others too!

I couldn't go back into fulltime employment anyway having been self-employed for over 4 years - it would kill me! lol!

It's my dream to have a website business but I am so fearful of technology and wouldn't know where to begin. Any tips for me?

    Hi,
What a great thread this is! Making me quite inspired!
I have recently built a website 'cos I decorate real horseshoes for special occasions - weddings, births, christenings etc and also design and hand make candles, again for special occasions but also for remembrance (I couldn't find such a thing when I wanted one, so I decided to learn to make them!)
It's very early days so far, but I hope it starts to take off. Can't put a link up as it's against t'rules;) but if anyone's interested you can pm me!

Welshnoonoo, I wish I had your ability to market and drive traffic if you're getting 1300 visitors! Well done! I just feel as though I'm swimming against the tide with that just now!

I work full time still but it would be sooo nice to be able to earn a bit to pay off the mortgage a bit early!
    Good luck to all!
    June x

Was trying to find a self employment thread on MSE to find some tips, but I'm useless searching on these forums :rotfl:
It's just made me realise yet again that it IS possible to work from home, and I feel a spark of motivation waking up in me now :D

    Thanks everyone :T
