Goodness knows when I'll reach the points total but I've had samples of "stuff" to test through Toluna fairly regularly - one just today in fact.
Also they do tend to be full size samples - I won't name them but one test panel I use sends samples for just three uses on average.

What do you mean by 'worked'?

Like with most things, it's relative...

Sure, Pinecone is great. You get paid a handsome £3 per survey (more if you're an 'older' member ;) ). If you do them when you want and don't give anything you don't want to sure they're worth it. A few extra pennies.
If you do a long-winded survey lasting 40 mins+ for a prize draw entry.... nah, probably not.

True, I think people get too hung up with Pinecone and thinking they're the ultimate just cos of their past reputation. Been with them about a year and make 2-3 times more with nearly every other survey site I'm signed up with. Yes they are one of the most consistent per survey payers, but over the course of a year they are one of my lowest payers.

Tia, the vouchers are luncheon vouchers, I use mine to pay for the Christmas turkey, ham etc.

You can also apply to get your rewards on a PayPal account...
 2014: £20 voucher from SurveyFriends, £10 cash payout from Panel Opinion too and working towards more from Valued Opinions currently.
2013: £35 and £50 vouchers from SurveyFriends! More than £15 made from other paid surveys sites (Yougov, Panel Opinion, Valued Opinions, Pinecone, etc.) Happy so far!

  • Credit where credit is due.

It took me ages to build up a decent points total on Maximiles, and then I saw nothing I wanted. However, finally I had enough points for a knife sharpener that looked - and is - useful. (RRP c. £15)

I applied for it last Saturday and resigned myself to a long wait of 4-6 weeks.

It arrived on Wednesday - it was sent from Amazon, and by second - class post. First class service from Maximiles, then.
