Thanks MrsM for the words of engouragement - you are right I have no confidence in the kitchen but the vision of the muppet cook made me laugh and I will be giving it a try! I like loads of food - chicken, pasta, cheese, most veg, rice, some chinese/thai type things (not too spicy/hot), eggs, fish, seafood, most meats, salads, baked pots, fruit, creme fraiche, soups.
I can make corned beef hash reasonably well. I got celery on a whoopsie the other day and made soup whicj was ok I think! I steam veg and chicken regulary. i have a slo cooker which i use on occasions but usually use a packet mix. I have a bread machine which I have necer used since I got it last october for my birthday!!!
I dont have a lot of will power when it comes to baking - I would eat the lot I think!
I am going to try to loose weight as i am 3stone over weight as I have eaten like a horse with the steroids (my excuse!). I now know I have to eat protein with every meal to combat the hunger but I think i also need carbohydrates for the diabetes so i get confused!!!

I should really make a meal plan as I,m early shift this week and can eat at home. REALLY dont want to spend any more money, shower on the blink again and I want a new hall carpet, so all monies saved will go towards this. I do need milk right now so will try to get this using coupons, oh and eggs. I will endevour to eat the "little gem" wot I have grown in the garden, a lot of it ready now, bad planning.:T:jDabbler in all things moneysaving.Master of none:o

Hi toottifrooti (great name btw
)
I agree with MrsM
Have you had a look at angelnikki's post no 6 on the first page. She has made an index for the recipes. Why dont you have a look at the Thai Chicken Curry? Have a good read through any recipe you fancy and if anything doesnt make sense or you're not sure, just ask. One of us will be able to help you.

I managed to get to a Mr T store today :j and I kid you not, I'm worse than a kid in a sweet shop! :rotfl: Bargains galore compared to my local Co-op store!! I got 27 bananas for £1.81! Entire grocery shop came to £15.75 plus I got some store cupboard items such as cake decorations, herbs, spice etc that I've added into my overall annual grocery budget. Looks like that will need to be me finished for this month, unless I spend the last few pence between now and next week. Apologies if this sounds dumb but a trip to a big supermarket is classed as entertainment for me, as it needs to be part of a day out to warrant the 80 mile round trip. :rotfl:
Forgot to say hello to MrsMC, welcome back!I reserve the right not to spend.

I think I'm gonna copy the recipe index over to the new thread and just keep adding to it each month. That way they wont all get lost forever.
Does everyone agree with this or should we start a new recipe list each month? :question:
Or you can just click on the post no which is at the top right of the post. That will open it in its own window. Then click on favourites in your browser and add to favourites.

Hi there everyone,
Well we had a lovely lunch out, from the treats budget, and got DS some new toys, from his treats budget so it has been a NSD in GC terms. There were plenty opportunities to spend money as we passed a good few shops but I was good and resisted as we really need nothing just now and are £11 over already. I ate so much at lunch
, with cakes for dessert so will make the fish cakes tonight as planned but keep them in the fridge until tomorrow and maybe just some beans on toast later if we are hungry.
Welcome tuttifrutti, very cool name, there is loads of help in here and you will soon be feeling like a natural in the kitchen lol.
Hope everyone is well and not too upset with the OH's for blowing budgets on rubbish lol!

Hi everyone. Had a lovely day at friends yesterday spent £4.36 on bits so have added that to my signature. Had a NSD today. Hubby and kids have gone off camping for 2 days. have sent them off with plenty of food and made tomorrows meal for them to heat up. (Chilli). they only have to buy tomorrows lunch and get some ceral for their breakfasts and milk. But they have their own budget for this trip. Have a good evening everyone.2025 Decluttering 10472⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
