Know that we are all with you and wishing you well.
And good luck walking through the town - be strong and have:coffee:in hand so you're not tempted to walk in any shops
I've just started a new career and am now running my own business, having given up my old J.O.B at the end of last month, and not being a young chicken myself (45 now) I know how scary it is, but at the same time exciting, exhilarating and, well, scary IYKWIM. But remember, you are at an age where you know an awful lot now, and they obviously saw that in you, so you must be right for the job, so go girl, you can do it...
Shezza The book you are after is called 'How to feed your whole family a healthy, balanced diet with very little money and hardly any time, even if you have a tiny kitchen, only three saucepans (one with an ill-fitting lid) and no fancy gadgets - unless you count the garlic crusher...' by Gill Holcombe. Should have been a NSD for me but I took MIL out to an open garden - it was a charity thing- and they had pick your own organic fruit for a donation in the box - so we both picked blackcurrants and I put in 50p. When I got home they weighed 12oz and I have made them into a fruit sauce for pouring over ice cream or yogourt - yum! Will update my sig.in a mo.
Better get off here and get to bed. OH is working all the hours and will probably be snoring again by the time I get upstairs! Night night all.

Hi Zoe, I know what you mean, it is hard when you have to be all things to all people.
I do property presentation and show homes for developers - If you've ever seen House Doctor on TV, then you know what I mean - but it means I have to do everything, The good bit is the actual work, helping people who are stuck, giving them ideas, decluttering too and making their homes work for them, then seeing their faces when it's all done - plus I get to shop with other peoples money - REALLY great (but can be VERY tempting too)!
Then there is the paperwork, invoicing, accounts, etc, this comes second nature as have always worked in offices, but the marketing, sales, and the worse bit, asking for payment... sends shivers down my spine as I really hate it. I love what I do, but I hate having to wear so many hats and its REALLY HARD to kick yourself up the butt when you need to be doing something you don't like, I know, I've tried it... :rotfl:
So having to really tighten belt at the moment until everything starts to pick up, which is hard and I need to do more of what I hate to get it there but hey ho as they say...
Hope your business is going well, I'm sure it is and well done for taking the plunge - it's hard isn't it but worth it... good luck!LBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -
