  • Hi
I've just been to Lidl too as part of shopping trip , their prices are going up for some things and they seem to be getting a load of branded goods in that they didn't use to.
Have found thier sunflower spread has gone from 35p 3 weeks ago to 57p this week!!
BUT DID FIND A BARGAIN!!! 300ml finale sport shower gel 13p !!!!:j
Smelt it and it smells fine, so bought 6 - OH has a shower every day, so will decant into one of his empty bottles and see what he thinks.
Will update sig later as still working out what I spent. (Also bought 2 Xmas pressies in Debenhams- all Fifi Flowertots stuff reduced and pressie for new niece or nephew due later in the year

Hiya Sunny Donny, we've been using shower gel for ages, and mr gets on fine with it, no complaints so far. :D

  • Freecycle is one of the Yahoo groups and it's a really great place to get rid of stuff you no longer want or get something that you need. This is the link to my local group, but you will have to search for your own - hope this helps though.

  • Hiya guys,
I've done quite well so far, but an old friend of mine, who is quite ill with the dreaded C, has asked me to take him shopping. Of course I don't mind but am a bit worried that he'll be able to manage, bless him. Any way I'll have fun helping him to spend, but will have to be careful not to spend any myself. Do you guys think I will manage to have a NSD or not?
That is the question eh, I think I will, DP thinks I wont (that's a good reason to hold out and DP will be wrong:j :j :j

    I'll let you know tomoz

The answer to my question was, no I didn't hold out :o
Bread down to 50p. Strawberries down to£1.00, cabbage down to 50p
curry/pasta bake 79p (can't make mrs a curry as the smell makes me feel really ill so next best thing)
Then found the same meals in the freezer for only 54p
    4 value yogurt 29p
all bargains I think so happy anyway:D will add spends to my sig;)

If you mix in some crumbled blue cheese (I use Roquefort) it's even more yummy
  • Good Morning,

Today's grocery day for us :j . OH has agreed to set the menu for the week and make the grocery list. It'll be his first try, so here's hoping he sets a thrifty menu! it'll be a great learning experience for him. I'm glad my OH is willing to take the challenge on!

Just quick update so I can see my signature! I seem to be going into the supermarket every day at the moment and spending £15-18 at a time.

Bit of a stressful week though as my baby boy (19 months) fell over and fractured his collarbone. He's not too bad - little arm in a sling - but it's all I can do to stop him running everywhere. He only started walking two months ago and has been running ever since.....

Anyway, I'll have more time to concentrate this week hopefully!

firstly thanks for the hugs and warm wishes, SFT and angelnikki i was in bed by 10.30 and managed to finally get some sleep! the sun's shining today, and i'm feelin loads better :D i'm sure all the grey miserable days haven't been helping with my depression, but i'm gonna try and get back on track now

i've stuck the first load in the washer, and the BM's going on in a minute to make some rolls.......haven't got a single one left in the freezer now! got a pile of ironing to get thru as well, and i'm gonna try and pop to Mr M's to see if he has any decent whoopsies this week

oh no! just realised i've got some cottage cheese in the fridge. was gonna make a quiche with it and i totally forgot  looks like that's what we'll be having for tea tonight before it goes out of date

hope the sun's shining for everyone, and you all have a good day xx
