Cleaning up isn't good. Just discovered I've lost a diamond out of my engagement ring. Gutted! Trouble is it could be anywhere, stables, garden, town etc As I'm not sure when I lost it!

Awww that's awful lucielle. Can you think where you were when you last definitely had all stones in place?

Far less awful but I lost my favourite brooch somewhere on Friday. It sucks, huh?

Had a little cry, OH said its only a ring! I'm not really a girly girl IYKWIM, but my ring was in a flower shape with 7 stones. Not sure if I can claim it on the house insurance. However I need a new hoover more. I have taken it off and put it away.

Verbatim, have you any idea where you lost it?

How sad you must feel. Though you still have the ring and eventually you can replace the diamond. Hope you feel better today.

I know how you feel - I lost a diamond out of mine many years ago on holiday (back in the days when I could afford beach hols!!). It cost me more to replace than the ring cost in the first place! I didn't claim for it though - although the MSEer in me now would make sure that I at least looked to see if it was possible to claim!

I lost a half carat diamond ring in between home, the swimming baths, the park and home again once. It was worth £1,500 (was a gift from an ex) wasn't sentimental value more gutted that I had lost something so valuable. I claimed on my contents insurance.

I will take it into town tomorrow and see how much it will cost and then approach the insurance company.

Took the chaps out today and apart from petrol it was all free. Mind you I have driven over 100 miles! Feel shattered now and looking forward to a lie in. OH will be back at some Godly hour and no doubt thrust a cup of tea under my nose ok if its 7 o clock not too keen at 5 (which was this mornings time!).

Taking DD1 to the opticians and will get ring checked then. Weather is showery and I've got lots of washing to dry. Need to plant some more seeds and possibly pot some younger ones on.

Tea tonight will be cornish pasties with mash and homemade mushy peas, followed by blackberry and apple crumble.

Oh so sorry to hear about the ring. I hope you can get it fitted out with a new stone. I lost a ring I loved last New Year's Eve and still feel awful when I think about it.
