Well been and had my equine therapy the riding was good..........the falling off not so good. He bucked on the second canter and I departed out the side door. Eventually managed to find a dip in the road and scramble back on. Had another canter further down and I can confirm that my sphincter muscles do work as I was feeling rather nervous!

Loan payment came out today and added to the total. OH is poorly off work and has hurt his back. Luckily (depending how you look at it) the lady who looks after my horses is a trained Mctimeny (sp) chiropractor and he is going up for a session tonight. She has requested payment in the form of some baking and food parcel. I need to get some sugar so I can get cracking.

Ouch!! You kept hold of him then? well done for getting back on, there are never enough stiles on country routes.... Coming off on a hack has got to be the scariest thing ever. Most (but not all) of the time my horse goes to the nearest bit of grass for a graze  You'll be stiff tomorrow, best you get in a hot bath for a soak!

Planning on doing that later after the scout run. Briefly kept hold of him, looked like he was going to walk on me so let go and he went off to my friends horse. The other first for today was that I managed to open the gate from horse back but had to get off to put the catch on. Must wear body protector next time.

I never go on a hack without my body protector. I learnt the hard way how essential they are!

My DD fell her her horse when riding the other week. She was so cross with herself and it didn't help that OH laughed at her!! Nothing hurt only pride and she was wearing her body protector - she's not moaned about wearing it since though!

All your baking does make me feel really guilty. I love baking and cooking but never seem to find the time....maybe as part of my getting my life back into balance I need to find a little more time for baking - so long as I don't eat it all...
