Its the emotional blackmail that goes along with it, that's making it hard work for us.

Do what feels right for you lucielle, emotional blackmail is very wearing, and always pops back up again when you least expect it.

    Hugs to you

Yup, rode my boy. However the hairy beast has lost another shoe. Does he think he's on the Krypton Factor or something and has to challenge himself to pull a shoe off every week? Going to grovel to the farrier.

Clever but expensive trick :rotfl:My lad scrapes the floor with his foot when dinner is due. I am often heard shouting, stop that now, that shoe cost me £15!

Mine does that when he gets stressed and thinks he's on his own. Lovely day here and I feel like actually doing something, shame its not the 3 job applications!

I have had quite a busy and productive day. 3 children were off today as they had an inset day. Been to the dentists this afternoon, got to have a filling redone in September. This morning I wrote 2 covering letters for the jobs and put in my CV. Phoned up about another one and going in to see them tomorrow. Out of all 3 of them I think this one would be the best as its the least travelling, however they use Sage which I've never used but I am a quick learner. Not sure how much the wage is probably be the min but its got to be better than nothing and it fits in with the children.

Also got some washing out, not quite dry so I've put it on the rack to finish off. Got some of OHs paperwork out of the way and did some financial juggling from different accounts. Whilst I was visiting the dentists OH dropped his car off for its dreaded MOT and then I picked him up.

Arranged to have my mum come and stay for next week, got to pick her up on Sunday. Off to finish tea, cornish pasties new pots, carrots and broccoli followed by crumble.

Went for a 'chat' about the potential job. Don't 'feel' as it I've got it but should find out next week. Not heard anything from the other 2 either. Got an application form to fill in on-line and the closing date is the 4th so need to get that done.

OHs car failed MOT needs 2 new tyres which we have done and a bearing which is being sorted on Monday and then it goes in for a re test.

Stressful day yesterday, DD1 got up with tummy pains so I kept her off school. However needed to go up to the horses to sort out the farrier. Got that done and she was being sick in the corner. Everytime I gave her some medicine she brought it back up, wouldn't eat or drink anything. About 6.00 the pains were really bad and OH had gone to work. Spent ages on NHS Direct and then took her to casualty.

There was me in drama queen mode thinking appendix! After a long wait she was diagnosed with a water work infection and is on antibiotics.

Done the banking today, picked up the bread order and had the Asda delivery. Also hoovered, dusted and cleaned the bathrooms. Think I deserve some lunch now.

I hope DD feels better soon - that sort of infection really is no fun at all. (((hugs))) to her. I hope you are fully recovered from your lurgy too.

Enjoy your lunch, you certainly DO deserve it!

DD1 still not very well. Just made her a hot water bottle. Paracetamol doesn't seem to be hitting the pain but I don't have any ibuprofen to give her as well. Hoping the antibiotics will kick in by tomorrow night.

Just added up the grocery spends for February and it comes to £349.78, which is slightly over budget. Not really sure why. I seem to spend around £20 on fruit and veg in a week which seems a lot. Hoping the Asda delivery will last me 2 weeks. Nothing much planned today. Got to get the spare room/office ready for my mums stay.
