Sorry to hear you have all that going on Lu, my mum suffers on and off with her mental health and even though she was sectioned a couple of times they do get to the problem and she will come through, my mum is good at the mo, one of my ex boyfriends always refers to her as" a bit loosely wrapped" which always makes me smile. :) I sympathise with the potholes too Ive decided they are just car killers :mad:

Spoke to sister on Thursday and she said they are wanting to put her on a section 3, which she really wasn't happy about as it means they will forcibly be able to medicate her. Will know more on Monday after she's had an independent review. She's also told me to tell oldest sister not to phone she finds it upsetting. Then on Friday she phoned oldest sister to speak to brother in law to tell her to speak to auntie if she wants to know whats going on.....go figure

Got a tooth that's thinking about being sore. Will try and fit a dentist in before I go south, first job Monday morning.

Had snow today so didn't go and do a 5k. Have been naughty and had chocolate, not good for tooth!

I'm sorry you're having difficult family times L.
Is the landlord who's against your schemes the business one, not your home L/L? You were thinking of classic cars as an extra income stream. Is that what he's not happy about?
I hope your home L/L has fixed the roof now though!

Funny you should ask about that V. The business landlord has agreed to classic cars which is good but I feel more money could've been made going down the other route. Still that is going to have to wait until cash flow is better, as currently there is very little flow at the moment.

The landlord for the house is a different story. The electrics kept tripping between Christmas and New Year. We tried everything, unplugged everything but we couldn't get it stay on. I phoned the agents and the snotty mare said she'd try to get somebody out. Anyway a sparky did call out and he was appalled.

A socket on an internal wall was dripping with water. He also noticed the rotten skirting board. He called the office and said he was appalled at the state of the place, had put a temporary fix in and wouldn't come back until the property was in better shape.

Anyway I was so appalled at the blas! way they were handling it, I threw my dummy out and contacted environmental health. In the meantime a builder had called round and was going to put a few slates back, take off the skirting board, 'let it breathe' and whack a new one and not actually get to the bottom of it.

Anyway environmental health have been and put some recommendations in that they have to do. Bet you wish you hadn't asked now.

Sounds good though, hope they make him sort out all the problems now, landlords are a law unto themselves happy once theyre robbing you blind but unhappy when they have to spend on the upkeep

Hope things are improving with your sister too.:)

I've been to see mum and took her out for the day. The girls took her back to the home and I went on to see my sister. Honestly my stomach was in knots and felt very sick. Initially she was nice and then she reverted back to her usual self. I had hoped the medication might've kicked in but it hadn't. I did wonder why I bothered.

Went shopping in Preston, haven't been there for years, pleased to see the market was still going strong. DD2 tried on some dresses as she's got her prom this year. Really hoping she'll get a dress for the prom and the wedding we've got to go to.

The drive home was ok, except for the rain. A bit like driving through a monsoon coming up the M6.

Came home and had won £25 on the premium bonds. Shame there wasn't a few more 000s on!
