Oh there is nothing quite like that sort of surprise.

I remember DS ringing me in work one day and asking me to pick up McDs on the way home as he was starving and by the way could I buy him 2 as he was super hungry. I got home to find DD on my sofa, it was such a heart warming end to my day at work. (She lived in Tenerife at the time)

I love that your special day ended on such a positive x

Well its all done and dusted. Everything went fine on the big day, except for the Xbox I managed to nab on black Friday. It appears that our TVs were so old the xbox wouldn't work. Therefor on Boxing day we were in the sales getting a new TV. Still can't believe that we have a lovely flatscreen tv for the ruddy xbox and the ugly old thing in the living room. Not getting another one until it dies.

Everyone seemed happy with their pressies, I think that will be the last year for lots. Sad to say I have overspent (I always do) so need to get it paid off ASAP. I do have a cunning plan in place but it all depends how much it will cost to mend the Polo and if DD1 manages to pass her driving test (please let her pass). I want to be debt free by June, including OH.

OH has been to the opticians and needed new glasses (over £200) I was in shock. The optician advised him to see the doc about his blood pressure. He now has to monitor his blood pressure for a week. He's back on Friday for an ECG and then has to go for a chest x-ray.

I have done a couple of days at work. We are busy and I could potentially increase my hours. I know this sounds ungrateful but not sure how I feel about that, as I still have loads to do when I get home.

My niece is having an engagement party at the end of Feb. I would like to be a stone lighter by then. I know I will feel better, need to get the head in the 'zone'

Been to pick up my laptop, it needed a new fan, possibly need to put it back to factory settings. Resisted the urge to buy a new tv for the living room, maybe in the sales next year. Got a new cardigan for work, ordered some books but used a token for them and got DD1 some new school shoes.

Both girls at work tonight. DS2 and DD2 have a DOE hike tomorrow but they are getting picked up.

Had a couple of mini light bulb moments. Went to fill my car up and then thought just put the minimum in as the prices are still dropping. Managed to get my money back from Amazon Prime as I hadn't realised I'd signed up for it. Should be back in my account in a couple of days. Also cancelled OH and DS1 from the gym membership as they didn't go. The dd has come out this week and it has gone up!!!! Need to look into that as I can't afford what it has gone up to, so if I can't resolve it I'll cancel it.

Work is driving me batty, really fed up and not enjoying it at all. Still the positive is that I have a job and I get paid. Need to knuckle down and get over it.

DS1 is off to buy his car today. He has spent so much money, I do worry about him. He has got a couple of weeks of work and I have asked for board, he's had nearly a month free.

DD1 has got her driving test on Tuesday I hope it doesn't snow. Fingers and toes crossed she passes it.

Been for a meeting with DS2 about entering sixth form. He thinks that's what he wants to do. Will need to find money for his traveling costs.
