Hi All. I'm sort of ok. Keep getting horrible headaches behind my eyes. Upping my water intake in the hope that it will help.

Weeded the raspberry bed last weekend and also splurged 3 quid on some more canes. OH has bought some wood so the edge of the bed will be more defined and I'll have something to strim against. I've been looking at getting some rhubarb crowns, not sure which variety to et.

Felt really crappy on Thursday night, went for a bath only to be interrupted every 5 mins by DS2 making flap jack for cake Friday. His turned out a lot better than mine. Went straight to bed and then DS1 came home about 8.30. He'd spent the afternoon in casualty after drilling his finger. He's narrowly missed the bone but has to keep it dry.

DS1 and dog arrived home last night. Dog normally lives on farm. Looks like we'll be hearing the sound of little paws and looking at the size of her its not far off. DS1 didn't know she'd been caught. Great more hassel.

Made 6 banana breads today. Was hoping to go into town and have a look in the garden centre. OH got up to go to work and he had a flat tyre so nicked my car.

Going on a hen weekend next week to York, feeling a bit apprehensive about it. I opened my tin on Friday where I've been sving £2 coins and I had £270 so pleased with that.

  • Hey lovely - nice to see you about here and elsewhere.

Re the rhubarb - if you want it for early fruit something like Timperly Early is good and Victoria always is a firm fav but there's a few more.

    There's a nice article here

To my mind - find someone with a decent patch of strong growing stuff and ask for a bit of it. Most gardeners happily put a spade through theirs for you and now's a great time to do it.

Any neighbours with decent rhubarb? Or something on local freecycle/freegle?

    Eek to unexpected puppies!

And, how did the hen night go? Excellent surprise on the savings pot there!

I hope you'll feel better soon - headaches behind the eyes are awful

    :(

Ouch to pregnant dogs. That's not good..what a pain.

Have your blood pressure checked. I had some horrible headaches that wouldn't go away, it was high blood pressure. A few tablets later and it's cleared up.

Hi All. Think puppies are on the way.......she's very unsettled and keeps looking at her rather large tummy. DS1 is out holding her paw.

Survived the hen weekend. Had to get up at 3.00am to pick the sprogs up as the taxi wouldn't drop them off at home. Saturday was awful as the hen was in a huff. She was being a real princess and I wanted to take her to one side and have stern words but managed to bite my tongue as I have to work with her. Did walk over 7 miles!!! Sunday things were a lot better but absolutely knackered as I didn't sleep very well.

Brizzle would love some rhubarb but must pay for it!!!!

I was in York at the weekend too. I saw a couple of hen parties out and about in the evening. Wonder if I passed you. Did you have a meal somewhere?
