Well nearly completed a whole week back at work. Actually got praised on Wednesday, somebody strike me down!!!!

Day off today, had to go to the bank and get a few bits and bobs. On the trying not to shop front, ended up spending £30 in the co-op on not very much. Not sure this is going to pan out the way I planned.

Did splash out on a new top which I plan on wearing on my journey to London. Have taken the money out of the clothes budget.

Went to a friends for coffee. It was really great to catch up and she's having a tough time at the moment, so I took her a couple of bunches of flowers.

Last night friend asked me to do her horse. I was well chuffed to get my equine fix and armed myself with carrots. Horse was waiting at gate as planned, though fully expected her to tank off to the other side of the field and as I was in my work clothes and no wellies, very glad she didn't. Going with horses owner to look at a companion at the weekend.

Hi Stripes, the companion we went to meet wasn't suitable. Cleaned out the turkey shed on Sunday, need to make room to store some stuff from the workshop. Then went for a walk (3 miles) and the wind was like razor blades.

Phase 1 of the workshop complete, just got to price it all up. Phase 2 on the third of Feb.

Badminton started again this week, good to be back. Work has seemed long and laborious but the week is over. Had to work extra half hour so I could finish earlier this Monday to take DS1 to new maths tutor.

Really cross with myself, I was putting some more songs into my Ipod and I had the earphones plugged into the laptop. I put the laptop down and forgot I'd got the earphones plugged in and snapped the end off them. GGGrrr now need to buy new ones before the weekend as I want them for when I go to London.

Got to go shopping today and then not got much planned.

The week had been progressing quite nicely until the very dark brown stuff hit the fan tonight. Lets start at the beginning.

Went to London at the weekend to go to my sisters big birthday bash. Traveled down 1st class and felt very posh. Completely spoiled us for all future rail travel. No sore back or anything. Had an absolute ball at the party and didn't get to bed until 3.30am. Mind you its taken me till today to recover.

The second phase of the shop refit started on Tuesday and should be completed tomorrow. If I do say so myself its looking pretty good. When its finished must get some pictures for the website.

Badminton last night was good, off for our 'Christmas' party on Friday, just to a local pub for a meal. Hopefully DS1 is going to be chauffeur for the night.

Spent most of the evening with DS1 helping him to renew his car insurance and getting his breakdown cover through quidco.

Last week it was confirmed that mum had the mental capacity to decide if she wanted to stay at the care home she was in and she said yes. Social services have agreed that's ok and the care home said it was fine.

I've opened my emails tonight to find an email from sister demanding what me and my older sister are going to do as mum has been told she has to leave by the end of February. I hold my other sister responsible for doing this. She has not left the staff alone and put in numerous complaints and they have probably had enough of her. I don't know the full story at the moment. If it is as I have said I will not forgive my sister for this as mum was settled and as happy as she was ever going to be. I feel like I've been smacked in the guts with a sledgehammer.

Oh what cr^p, can you have a word with the home and see why they've had a turn about? I'm sure your sister thinks she's helping but she is clearly making things worse. Fingers crossed you can get it resolved without further distress to your mum.

Glad the start of your week, until this, has gone so well

Enjoyed the meal out with the badminton crew. Poor OH didn't get to come as he was poorly so DD1 came instead. Minor mishap when the waitress spilt cream all over her, the poor waitress was beside herself. Anyway got a free pudding and it was no biggy, nobody died or anything. I ended up driving as it wasn't the same without OH.

The shop is all finished and overall very pleased, a few glaringly obvious mistakes that need rectifying. Need some decent pics to put on the website.

Going to see my mum this coming weekend what should've been a nice weekend going out and about is now going to be spent viewing care homes with my other sister. Have got an extra day booked off the following week for half term. Need to go into the big town and get some clothes sorted and call in at the big M&S for the girlie measureing facilities if you get my drift, both DDs are in need of sorting out. That's not gonna be cheap!

Had my new crown fitted, touch wood its ok as my gum had been sore. Had a bit of time to kill whilst waiting for the dentist appointment and a new shop had opened. I'm a bit of a sucker for 'quirky' jewellery and fell in love with this ring. I tried it on, it fit. Then I put it back and left the shop. Still had time and it was the only one left, so went back and bought it and told the children thanks for the Mothers Day present I love it!!! They were all panic struck thinking they had missed it.

Weather is now blowy and wet a very yukky night and glad I'm not going out in it.

Nearly has a disaster on my hands. I was trying to book tickets for Wednesday nigth to go and see the Railwayman but they were all sold out. Turns out that's the night of the Young Farmers play we're going to see. Somebody was looking after me.

    Stay safe.
