Okish is better than not I guess as I was worried it'd turn into WW3 so maybe be grateful for the small things?

Payday this week, was a bit worried as I'd had some sick leave and don't get paid. However for some reason the boss paid a bonus (never done it before) so that made up the shortfall.
In previous years I've asked a friend and her son to come for lunch and she's always declined this year I didn't bother and shes invited herself and son! OH and DS1 weren't very impressed as they tolerate her. I now feel under pressure to create a wonderful meal. Think the plan is to get her p!$$ed.
Nearly finished the shopping and wrapping, thank goodness.

Could you accidently misunderstand and say you would be glad to not have to cook and it was really kind of her to invite you and yoursMust use my stash up!0 -
Actually I don't really mind, could just do without putting myself under more pressure. Sounds wimpy I know but loads of other stuff going on.
Which brings me on to DS1, sigh, when does it get easier? He's only gone and had another car accident, everyone ok, but he has hit another car and it is going to cost him big style. When is he going to learn? I feel like I've done a really bad job. He's not a horrible boy but seems to lack common sense and is unable to see the bigger picture.
