Party was great staggered to bed at 3am followed by h at 5 am and then had some brunch in Highgate before catching the train home. DD2 had a great time playing horses even though 1 day it was sideways rain.
DD2 has been back a week from her 4 weeks away. I was so excited like a little kid waiting for her at the airport. DS1 was supposed to be in when we got back and he wasn't so he's been in the bad books for a couple of days (other things he was doing was really annoying me) so this was the final straw. I've seen pictures of her ridng elephants, sleeping on top of her rucksack and having a great time.
Went to my sister in laws weekend just gone. Had a lovely time went to a museum and then played ten pin bowls. I was rubbish and my aim was to not knock them over!
This Saturday sees us off on our jollies to the Isle of Skye. We're travelling in convoy as DS1 has decided to take his car. We can get 6 in but its a bit of a struggle. He's had it serviced and rebuilt so fingers crossed Pippa should make it.
I've treated myself to a crab net (I know how to live) as I fancy playing with that. Will maybe write some more later off to watch Great British Bake Off.

Twirls a duster about the place.
Well holibobs are over and done with. Had a great time and the convoy journey up there went well. DS1 managed all the driving on the way up and only needed me t drive the last 100 miles on the way home. We all managed to get along and no major arguments. Weather was typical Skye so just a case of opening the curtains and seeing what it was doing.
We went to the fairy pools and of course had a swim, it was very cold (bl0ody freezing) but worth it. Meals out were hit and miss, mine were mostly miss. I did have one indulgance and I bought a rug from Skye Skyns, a more expensive rug than I was planning thanks to OH. I've gone for a chequer board pattern and the browns are going to be used as my pallette for decorating the living room which is the rest of the years target.
We went out on a boat for an evenings fishing and were stunned to see porposies splashing around. Been to Skye loads of times and seen nothing. DS1 took the others fisihing one morning and they saw basking sharks in the loch, also a little jealous to have missed that. The service from the boat people was amazing and I've sent them an email to compliment them on that. We have come back with loads of mackerel and pollack so any recipes appreciated.
Back to work this week with a bump. It hasn't helped when our chap who covers the workshop announced that he wouldn't look after the place for a week again as he found it too stressful. We think we may have a plan to run by him to see if that will tempt him. OH needs some time off so we need to get that sorted. Major plans in mind for the workshop, watch this space.
Money news not been that clever on the old credit card. Mine had a balance of £850 now down to £650. It just seems to have crept up. Did manage not to use it on holiday and thought I may have to put the purchase of the rug on it but we managed to use debit card and cash as I had some money towards one. The positive is that I didn't use it on holiday and managed not to have to go food shopping whilst there, but did spend a fortune before we left.
All chaps are either back at shool or work. DD1 has started sixth form after a panic that she didn't want to do the subjects she'd picked. She has managed to change them so hopefully she'll knuckle down. Her GCSE reults whilst good were less than she hoped for. DD2 has also started high school and isn't impressed with who her form mates are. Also her very expensive Clarks shoes are giving her blisters. DS2 is just taking it all in is stride. DS1 is busy making his sheep look pretty for the local very large sheep sale that's happening later this month.
It has been a lovely day today and I've managed to take all the old raspberry canes out and tie in the new ones. It's looking very dark out there so better go and rescue my washing.

Helloooo (anybody there?)
Feels a bit lonely in here, maybe time to call it a day? Supposed to be stock taking in the shop today, OH has had to take a machine back so got a couple of mins free.
Hopefully DD1 has got a job and starts tomorrow. It's washing up for a catering firm but it will give her some income. I think she maybe a bit delicate today as she was out till late last night/this morning.
DS1 has worked 7 days a week nonestop since we came back from holidays and has gone beating today so a very early start for him.
It's DS2s birthday today, the grand old age of 15! He and his sister have gone to Scout camp, armed with birthday cake and his sister has printed some posters to put up at the site. It looks a good forecast so they should be having a good time. Managed to get 2 loads of washing on the line before I came out.
OH and I are going for a meal tonight with one of his old work mates, should be a good night. On Monday we're off to Perth for a lawnmower convention thingy. Not really my thing but as I'm 50% share holder in the business best show willing. They'll be showing the latest models coming out, I'd still best dig my anorak out!
Well OH is back best go and count those nuts and bolts.

It's not time to call it a day, it's probably time to start a new diary. You're debt free now and need to stay that way. You have to stay around as you are an inspiration to the rest of us. It took you a long slog to get to where you are now, so start a new one to help the rest of us achieve it!

No please don't go anywhere, you give me hope that one day I'll be where you are. I'm finding the diaries quite quiet at the moment but guess they'll pick up as the colder weather kicks in

Not quite sure where to start a new diary as I don't want to rub peoples noses in their own money worries.
Right off out for tea.
