I usually just lurk and read, rather in awe! But re the back pain I did wonder if you had seen the recent articles on antibiotic treatment - I can't post a link because I don't post often enough to qualify to do so, but if you google the Guardian for May 7th, on antibiotics for back pain, it should take you straight there.

May not be relevant at all for your DH's back pain of course, but it reminded me of how horrible stomach ulcers were before the discovery that helicobacter pylorii was responsible and could be zapped with antibiotics - so worth checking?
Thanks for this, I showed it to OH. It's interesting because he's had a veruuca for over 15 years and nothing he tries will shift it. Its very sad we've christened it Vernon its been a apart of the family for so long!!! I think the fact his body can't fight it may have something to do with his immune system.

Another busy week draws to a close. New tyre purchased and put on car, next morning new tyre flat as f@rt. Finished work and returned to garage with said tyre to find I've got a split in my rim (oh-er missus) I did wonder why it wasn't spotted when they changed it. Frantic dash to Smithys to get the rim welded before they closed, luckily they managed to do it, whizz back to the tyre place and get it put back on.

My car has been in for a service today. When I got it I took theplunge to pay a monthly fee for a service plan with the dealer. Managed to get their in the nick of time despite being stuck behind every slow moving going. Garage dropped us off in town and hit the shops. Why is shopping so exhausting?? My feet are still throbbing now and I've been in the bath with a Lush bath bomb I treated myself to. DS2 needed some clothes so got him kitted out, DD1 needed a bikini (I never want to see aother one for a while) It took us a wile to get the top fitted without anything popping out. DD2 was sweet and got some new earings and sunglasses. I got some new trainers and gel inserts (sucker for a bargain) and some new safely gathered in knickers! I must admit to being naughty and getting a taxi back to the garage but we were cream crackered and couldn't face the 30 min walk with all the bags. Did have lunch in Frankie and Bennys. Luckily the car cost nothing, as I thought the brakes might need doing but they were ok.

June is fast approaching and nearly time for my 6 monthly financial update. Will have to buck my ideas up and get the calculator crunching.

On another note I've been perusing ebay and looking at corsets for this fancy dress party, funnily enough OH has shown quite a bit of interest in this! I know what I want but finding it is proving difficult. I've seen some fantastic outfits on etsy but they have fantastic prices to go with it.

In other news DS2 has found a website for us to get our fix of The Walking Dead and my favourite The Game of Thrones. Most of bank holiday Monday was spent glued to a laptop, sad I know but thoroughly enjoyable.

Yesterday I decanted the Sloe gin again as it was a bit cloudy. I can vouch that its very nice and goes down rather to well.

DS1 is a happy chappy as his shearing machine has arrived, he's off clipping tomorrow. He's been invited to a party with a Madagascar theme (as in the cartoon) so today I purchased a zebra onesie. Sure he'll look fab!

I've been watching Britains Got Talent, what a disappointment, its either singers or dancers! Off to shout at the ?TV

LOL, I got DS1 a zebra and he said that's a nice giraffe! OHs back seems to have eased but not sure why.

Been to ag merchants and bought some hen food. Also called into a friends shop and got 2 new tops for work. I didn't see anything yesterday. Going to make leek and butternut squash soup for dinner. Must go and get the washing out.

Sods law, I phone to book the cooker in for some attention as its making 'weird' noises. So today the washing machine is jealous and decided to die. Couldn't get it empty, OH opened the door and a Tsunami cascaded over the kitchen floor, but we got the clothes out. Lovely friend spun the clothes and did another load of washing for me as the kids bedding needed doing.

Managed to weed the raspberry bed today, its been a lovely day. Had to go to the workshop as Ebay has been really busy and give OH a head start for tomorrow.
