Had a lovely long 4.5m walk and have come back sporting another 2 blisters to accompany the ones I got the other day. One of them hasn't popped and is the size of an old 10p. I even put plasters on as I kew my boots would rub, grrrrr.

Went on the Craghoppers website to look at stuff for DD1 and they had a sale on, with loads off so we spent some time going through the kit list and placed an order.

Just watching the closing ceremony of the Olympics and have to say I've really enjoyed it.

  • Can't walk in this weather, but don't envy you the blisters.

Hope the work b****cks sorts itself out sometime soon, for your sake.

2nd good luck with the car.

Managed to get the car sold, but not for very much. The robbing gits at the insurance company gave me £21 after taking their chunk of £50 for cancelling the policy. Cheers AA! Cashed in the tax disc so waiting for that to come back.

DS1 has booked his theory test, just waiting for a date. I was off yesterday and made some meals ready to take on holibobs in a weeks time. Alos starting my usual marathon of scrubbing the house before we go. Chaps are used to me and roll their eyes but at least they help out a bit more.

Bought a new mattress this week which is helping OHs back and mine hasn't been as bad. Going to take the old one to the tip and then price up the stuff for the bathroom.

Bought the girls their school shoes on Wednesday, still got DS2s to get, that'll be tomorrow and the boys can get their hair cut. Picked up my wedding ring after it had been resized, still looks ok despite the difference in gold and its very shiny.

Pay day has been and gone, now I know how much it'll be every month. Still struggling with the budgets, call it a work in progress.

DD1 has managed to get a stall at a local show and she's going to do a water or wine stall. Saving all the empty bottles should be fun, need to get a gazebo from somewhere as ours is kaput.

Weather has been very wet today but am hoping tomorrow will be nice, I haven't seen the forecast but need to get some washing done.

Robbing whatnots! I'll take them off my quote list for my insurance in honour of you.

Why do we clean like fury before we go away? When we come back everyone just dumps sandy stuff everywhere, including the beds in my house, meaning it all has to be done again....hope you have a lovely holiday L

Did you get one of those tempur (sp?) ones?

When you're debt free you can book a second honeymoon to go with the shiny ring!

You'll work it out, it won't be easy, but you're very experienced now. Not like we all were at the beginning.

The mattress was literally off the back of a van.........so ask me no questions. Tis very comfortable.

Boys have been shorn, last pair of school shoes bought and a few bits and bobs. DS1 needs to get a tyre for his car, that should be in on Monday and can get his tracking sorted as well. First time I've been co pilot driving into town. A couple of hairy moments but all back in one peice.

DD1 has seen a Saturday job advertised in the outdoorsy shop. She's revamping her CV now and will drop it off on Monday.

Very brave of you to be a co-pilot

On Saturday one of my neighbours had an unwrapped mattress delivered off a horsebox  I keep thinking that no matter how many times you hose out the horsebox, it's always going to have a certain aroma....

    LOL Granny!

Well had a naff day. Got thrown into a meeting I was ill prepared for and felt like an idiot, as the boss had 'lost' the v ital piece of info.

OH had arranged for our worker to come in for the afternoon so we could go and shop for wet wall, get DS1s tyres, pick up DD1s glasses and sort out my prescription goggles.

DD1 dropped her job application off and got her glasses. I was told my goggles were no longer made and therefore not likely to get fixed. Went to the tyr place and the tyres weren't in, even though we'd been told on Saturday they would be. Trundled off to builders merchant and they were so helpful a corpse could've done a better job. Came home completely !!!!!! off.
