A hard week done and dusted. I feel I'm just on the cusp of a black dog attack and am trying to fend it off.

The reality of self employment bites as the 'wage' is vastly reduced and the pressure is on me to get the hours in, keep house, look after children, chauffeur duties, endless washing, shopping, coursework, summer hols looming, paperwork, the list is an endless treadmill!

OH is annoying me at the moment, I asked him to make lunch for us both and he forgot. !!!!!! I'm at my desk for 5.45am and he has considerably more time than me and I wonder what its spent doing. After doing a rough budget it would seem we only have £25 spare and that's as long as I can manage on £40 per week petrol.

I had booked all the tickets for when we go to London. The plan was for OH and I to go on the Saturday, OH goes back on the Sunday, my friend drops the 3 chaps off at the station and then the chaps and I come back on the Friday. Spent ages at the station getting the booking sorted. OH decided he's coming back on Wednesday, gave him his ticket this morning and told him to sort it, as I'd done my bit.

We're off to Lancashire next weekend for nieces b'day, petrol not sorted and 1 night in a travel lodge, hope my car behaves as its slurping oil like its going out of fashion. Hopefully call in and see the fossils whilst we're down.

Took the dds into town today so DD1 could open a savings account for her Thailand trip. Found a gorgeous dress for DD2 for £6 but she didn't like it. Got some shopping from Lidls and fed the car. I called in at a jewellers to have my wedding and engagement rings looked at. The engagement ring is getting worn and wanted the clasps checked that holds the diamonds in and to get it resized. My wedding ring needs resizing but at 22 carat and rose gold its going to be difficult to get it to match. Its being sent away for an estimate but they did mention £200 due to the price of gold. I have some jewellery I don't wear so will see how much I can get for that.

The weather looks grey and thunderous but its warm, so got some washing on the line, but keeping a hawk eye out. Dropped DD1 off at another gardening job and the lady is bringing her back later.

Have only 1 credit card left to pay, just over 5k but with less money still going to be boring the pants off you peeps for a while longer. My account has an overdraft of £450 would like to see that down to £300.

You are doing so well to have cleared that much in 5 years, and keeping me motivated each time I look at your signature. I'm hoping that my position will be pretty similar 5 years from now, as we started off in roughly the same place. Not long to go, you'll get there soon I'm sure. As quoted on my diary "keep moving on down"

Plus never boring and please stick around after its gone, life just wouldn't be the same without you x

Thanks for the vote of confidence Granny. Went back to town this morning to get the dress for DD2, £6 and a long pendant necklace £3 plus tights £4. Called in at Morrisons and managed to get 6 reduced cornish pasties for 49p. Thats tomorrow nights tea sorted, some apples and mixed salad.

Ds1s dog got another chicken. Not impressed, told him to put £10 in my account said if it happened again he'd have to pay for a replacement. To be honest not sure if I'll get anymore, everything feels like such a chore. Down to 2 chooks now.

Had a lovely roast dinner and just sat with a glass of Pimms and going to watch the tennis final. OH has lit the fire, just love summer!

Had a completely bizarre dream last night, involving Chris Evans and Gordon Ramsay, very, very weird!

now that is a very strange conversation of men, one giggling like a school girl and the other swearing like a trouper. Strange - I'd say

I caved into getting the book when everyone was talking about it and have just got to the smutty stuff but to be completely honest with you it's annoying me at the moment. Not sure if I'll carry on with it or not as I don't really go in for the whole submissive female thing. Gosh now I am being a Granny aren't I :rotfl:
