Took the tree down today as it was giving OH a race on who could lose the most needles/hair. Think the tree may have just won! Normally I leave them but I couldn't stand it any longer. OH and I have had a bit of chat. Well I chatted (oops gone italics) and we have sort of agreed that he's going to take over the hoovering as I really have been struggling to keep up with everything. Its not a competition between us about how much we do but it can sometimes feel that way. Anyway it did take him a while to hoover the needles up and sort of realise how long things take in general.

Took the hound for a walk and it really was windy. She didn't want to go and kept trying to turn for home every minute. It didn't help when she could hear some guns being fired, as she is petrified of them. Had a sort of buffet for tea and rather made a pig of myself and feel stuffed so off for a wallow in the bath.

Had a busy day, boys got their haircut, DS2 spent some of his turkey money on getting a new fancy phone which has kept him engrossed all day. DD1 took some books into the secondhand bookshop and replenished her stash, I went to Lidl and got some veggies, got some chook food and also used my nectar points to buy the last installment of Harry Potter and spent the afternoon watching that.

DS1 has gone out and DD1 has gone on a sleepover. I doubt I'll be up till after midnight as NY just dosen't float my boat! DS2 has just annouced he's got some homework so not impressed with him as he had a week before Christmas to get it done.

Had an interesting message left on the phone from the chap who's house we looked at last year. They think they maybe moving this year and were wondering if we were still interested. Its a lovely house but with the business costs not sure we can afford it. I still think its worth a phone call and test the water.

I think OH is going to call tonight re the house. I think it'll be too much money, still we'll have to see. Cooked a ham in the slow cooker and then glazed iit with honey, mustard and brown sugar. It was delicious. OH was gutted as I wouldn't let him carve it, as he'd scoff loads when he was doing it.

I managed to get some Christmas cards and a couple of pressies for this Christmas, so made a start. Next Monday got DS1 to take to college so I could maybe get a few more bits in. Payday on Wednesday yippee!

DS2 has got footy training today but no signs of life yet. I'm back at work tomorrow, OH and the chaps are still off.

Took DS2 off to footy training and not many turned up. Coach said they'd have a kick about for 10 mins so thought I'd wait. An hour later they finished! I was frozen to the steering wheel! Trying to make it snow as I'm in the process of cleaning the oven, just waiting for the gunk to turn brown then I can wash it out and rebuild it. Shame I'm making a ham and mushroom pie for tea cos it means using the oven. Got a nice veg soup in the pressure cooker so that's lunch sorted. Its very cold outside, so won't be doing very much out there. DS1 has just phoned he's worked half a day and off to follow the hunt, may see him later.
