I am really proud of the chaps this week and they've organised themselves for today, who's doing what. We are going to bake after I've nipped into the village. I need to get some salad, nytol (sick of waking up at silly o'clock and need to break the pattern), pay in DS1s wages and that will be all. Ds1 got a large leg of lamb for Christmas, so that's going in the freezer and may have it for New Year, OH is back at work then, but he's fine about it.

I scored 57% on the tightness test not bad. The workshop and showroom is now closed until January giving OH a much needed rest.

Popped into the village and managed to get 2 reduced chooks which have gone in the freezer, salad bits and some crusty bread. Made a humungous amount of mince pies which will be scoffed by the end of tomorrow, pigs in blankets ready to be cooked, spuds par boiled ready for roasties and some fruit soaking in brandy for the no cook chocolate tort.

I can now reveal that OH has got me a paragliding session. Things I'll do to get a strong man behind me!!!! Can't go till after February and then it gepends on the weather. All the chaps seem happy with their stuff and DD1 didn't want to go to bed as it meant that Christmas was over. Loved watching Downton and pleased with the ending.

Can safely say that blackberry vodka is akin to rocket fuel and very moreish the Sloe gin is also very palatable (maybe a bit to palatable). Loads of leftovers so no cooking for a few days.

Ds1 is back at work today, boo, hiss. He did say he was finishing early but he's still not back. Used the last of the turkey today to make turkey and broccoli bake for tea with veggies.

Went to the beach today and it was blowing an absolute gale. I look 10 years younger due to being sand blasted, think I'm taking the money saving malarkey a bit too far!!!!!!! Managed to get 2 chooks and a lump of pork for a tenner, so well chuffed with that. Trouble is I/we need to eat some of the stuff as the freezer is getting full. Also called into the shop where OH got my watch from to get some links taken out but the lady wasn't in who could do it.
