Well I've suvived and returned. Friday was in a grump still so OH and I were barely talking. Managed to get the tent up ok as its been ages since its been out. The chaps were surprised how small it was (cos they've grown). Managed to forget the tea and coffee, also the ham for the picnic. Coped all day Saturday without a brew but DS2 cracked and begged some from the other campers this morning. Friday night was quite comical, we put the dog in Morris as she wasn't really settling in the tent as it was her first time. Got up at about midnight for a call of nature but couldn't find the code to get in the loos. Woke the DDs up as I knew they'd been out. Got the code and OH came with me, honestly the amount of snoring coming from the tents, think they were in competition with all the owls that were screeching. Came back and settled back down. Dog 'woof' she'll go quiet in a minute, couple of minutes later....HOWL......HOWL, OH shot out of bed dog came and curled up and I couldn't move for the rest of the night.
Went to the pub for lunch, couldn't take the devil dog in so had lunch served to us on a picnic table on the village green, drank copious amounts of alcohol and walked back to the tent. Had an afternoon snooze, played rounders and badminton and got eaten by several million midges. Done 4 loads of washing hoovered and collapsed in the bath.
Have decided not to go to London as I haven't got the train fare and it would mean putting it onto a cc and I really don't want to do that.
Stripes, haven't forgotten the recipe.

The ferrets are gorgeous. Will they stay white?
Hope you enjoy the camping more than you are expecting!
I think one of them may look more like a pole cat as it has some darker patches on it.

Finally phoned my sister to tell her that I wouldn't be going down. She was ok and understood, then she let slip that they were going to pay for us to go and see War Horse. AAAAGH nearly said I'm on my way!!!
Day off today, got a friend coming for coffee and 2 of her chaps. Got an exam tomorrow, then at work on Thursday and thats me till a week on Monday. Trying to organise lots of free things for the chaps to do and sleepovers etc. Also got the dreaded school shoes to buy and the last bits and bobs that add up to a fortune. DS1 has got an eye test on Saturday and then he is going to get his hair cut. Oh happy days.

I've benn doing my NVQ2 in office admin. I thought it would look good on the old CV, however, after receiving a certificate saying that I could answer the phone I'm not so sure. I mean I've got a big burfday coming up next year and if I can't answer the phone now, it ain't gonna happen. Anyhows I passed both of them and so did the other girl whos doing the higher level. Joy of joys they've found enough money to put me through that one as well, as if I haven't got enough going on.
On the way to the exam centre we dropped all the chaps off at the swimming pool, so they had a blast. Last day today for a while, it'll be good to recharge the batteries. Am thinking of going to York next week and go to the Jorvik museum. Looking into train times.

Lots of firsts today chaps, so I think drum roll please..... I have for the first time managed to use my tesco rewards for something other than groceries and booked some tickets for the Jorvic museum.....also for the first time I picked up some lovely hitch hikers who were sodden and also very lovely people from Holland. Took pity on them and drove them back to their accommodation as I did say I wasn't going to take them as far as that.
I have also got some billy bob bargains, some bananas to make nana bread cost, zip, zero, zilch, nada, nothing and 12 packs of Anchor butter also zero, zip, zilch, nada, nothing as they were out of date and going to be thrown. I love bargains me. Bad news is I think that DD has killed the iron. I hate spending money on irons, actually I think it might've gone into shock as I cleaned the bottom. Must remember not to do that ever again. Am also in holibob mode.
