Loan payment has come out today, so another month nearer to getting rid of it. I have been having a mini sort out and came across some figures from 2006 which showed we were 17000 in debt, if only that lightbulb had stayed on, we would be nearly clear. Ahh well.
Been to the horses, honestly never known a hill to be so boggy. Typically my old boy was at the furthest corner and I had to wade through treacle to get him, at some points I thought it was going to come over the tops of my wellies. Serious James Herriot moments when I thought I was going to fall flat on my face or my @rse! Poor old boy had to drag me out and that was no mean feat!

I had three car rides to the hospital each one getting more desparate! They kept sending me home-I don't think they had a delivery room free! On the last one I lay across the back yelling my head off and staggered into the labour ward where they rolled their eyes and then finally examined me and said that i was about an hour from giving birth! I did try to tell them before but they said that giving birth does hurt and sent me home with a paracetamol!HSBC Visa-High interest-£2349.23 Nat West £2605.18

Have a problem which I am hoping some clever chaps can point me in the right direction. Have an o/d which stands at £1860 and goes down by £10 pw. OH was on the phone to the bank and has been offered a 0% o/d for the first 1000 and then 9.9% for the remainder for the monthly fee of £25. That totals £300 pa!!!!! At the moment we still require and overdraft, however we have got some citi card cheques for life of balance transfer at 5.85%.
The only problem is we have a balance on this card of £6571.38 also at a fixed life of balance rate. I was thinking of transferring £1160 onto the citi and leaving an o/d of £700. However I don't want to pay £25 per month. Has anybody got any better ideas?

Have you looked into an Alliance & Leicester account? They offer an interest-free overdraft for a year, thereafter there's a charge capped at £5/month. I switched my overdraft to them and have no complaints - my overdraft is regularly up in the £3000s so it's been a great help.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620
