Have mine. My bowels go loose at the thought of driving in the dreaded white stuff. OH thinks its fun and treats car like a giant sledge! Got to be in work for 11.30, after dropping children off at friends.

Forgot to mention that we finally succumbed and put the heating on, on the 20th. Still clicking it off during the day. Been to work, very quiet but got lots sorted. Am working tomorrow and then who knows after that.

Brought lots of things home from the table top sale, which I must sort through. That is going on the to do list.

Have paid a total of £1110.34 off the debts this month. This is slightly below the target of £1150. Hopefully now OH is on winter shifts his wages should go up.

Have posted the horse rug backed and they have received it. Whilst I was waiting to be put through I was their website and the rug had been reduced by £19. Spoke to a lovely lass who cancelled my replacement rug, ordered me the new one at the sale price and I also bought another rug reduced from £90 to £45. Haven't confessed this to OH yet I am waiting for the right moment.

Been and done some Christmas shopping and it came to £59, I paid for it on the debit card. It was only when I was in the car and looking at my receipt I realised they had only put it through as £9. I'm not sure if they can put it through without you being there but I am going to watch my bank account closely!!!

Have seen a property to rent which has got some land and stables with it. It would be fantastic to think we could get this but it has got a hefty rent on it. Rough calculations show that if we did apply and get it we would be saving £315 on livery and travel, however still have feed costs to pay. My head is spinning just thinking about it.

Other news, didn't get the job. Swines!!! Going to go and ride tomorrow hope the weather is good.

  • Bad luck on the job-more fool them. You're doing brilliantly with the debt repayments at a difficult time of year. You could even barter on the rent for the new place to see if it's cheaper-always worth a try!

Well done on the debt repayments - that is a significant amount to clear, and not much less than you aimed for so :T

As for the rent - grab a pen and a pad of paper and get brainstorming figures - costs, savings, benefits, etc etc.......you will soon be able to see if it is workable/sensible/worth pursuing/needs to be forgotten about.

We are going for a look on Tuesday. Went riding today, it was glorious with everything covered with frost, blinking cold though it was down to -6 just going up there and was 0 when we left.

Baked a couple of Christmas cakes, usually I have got them done by now but at least I've made a start. OH has got a call out for 3am. Hopefully I will get back to sleep.
